Stay with Laura A! We have realized four modern vacation rentals on our farmhouse in beautiful South Limburg, all with their own kitchen, bathroom and bedroom(s). A can accommodate 2 people. The beds are all provided with wonderfully clean and fresh bedding upon arrival, all towels are provided in the kitchen and bathroom. The space Our Jijé farmhouse is one of the oldest houses of the church village of Scheulder in beautiful South Limburg. Scheulder is an old hideaway from the time of the Romans and is located on the so called old Heerbaan from Maastricht to Aachen. In this region, the farms have traditionally transferred from father to son and so do ours. In the past, in addition to the cows, a pig was also kept, and the current house meadows were full of fruit trees. Originally, the farmhouse was completely built from Mergel, but due to the renovation that took place in the last 15 years, it has now been largely built up from field fire stones with mergel corners. Other things to note Experience Beer Brewery Gulpener. The Gulpener Brewery has recently been renovated and well worth it! They also have an atmospheric garden with live music on Sundays. In the Gerendal, the sheepfold and the popular orchid garden! You walk on to Old Valkenburg with its beautiful old castle Schaloen and its gardens, definitely worth a visit. Go cycling in the caves in Valkenburg, walk along the hiking trail that goes through the meadow with us via the Gerendal to…… there are many possibilities and routes. Also across the border! In Herve's land is the historic railway line "ligne 38" for hikers, cyclists and riders! Rent a scooter to explore the area or take a bike! From July to September, pick flowers and berries in the picking garden in Sibbe. Follow the route of the reflection ribbon, a reflection route along beautiful sights of the St. Servaas in Maastricht to the Cathedral in Aachen, via the American cemetery in Margraten.
