Stroudover Cottage offers you the ultimate rural experience...with comforts of home. The space Stroudover Cottage is a contemporary, two-bedroom, purpose-built guest house in a quiet setting, providing self-catering holiday accommodation to discerning guests who expect the comforts of home, while enjoying a relaxing holiday in the beautiful countryside of the Bega Valley. The cottage is located on a fully fenced six acre property and offers spectacular pastoral views to the surrounding mountains. Guest access Stroudover Cottage is located near Bemboka at the foot of Brown Mountain, two hours drive from Canberra and about 40-50 minutes drive to the dog-friendly beaches of the Sapphire Coast. For your comfort, smoking is not allowed in the cottage, but you may smoke on the verandah and grounds, if you wish. The cottage is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Stroudover Cottage features raked ceilings, wood wainscoting in the lounge/dining area, tiled floors throughout, reverse-cycle airconditioning, ceiling fans in each room, and a Eureka wood-burning stove for those chilly nights. There is also a radio/CD player, a TV and DVD player, and numerous books and games for our guests' entertainment. Large north-facing windows, one with a glass sliding door out to the verandah, provide stunning views of the mountains. When the sun shines, a 5kW solar power generation system supplies clean, green electricity to the cottage; and solar panels on the roof provide your hot water from the 20,000 litre rainwater tank. It is most wonderful to drink, although some bottled drinking water is provided for those who prefer it. The Master bedroom, with views to the north, contains a king bed, built-in wardrobe, bedside tables, lamps, chair and rugs. The second bedroom also contains a king bed, comprising of two mattresses each with their own doona, a built-in wardrobe, bedside tables, lamps and rugs finish the room. Quality linen and towels are supplied and included in the tariff. There is a modern, tiled bathroom containing a shower, toilet and vanity. The fully-sized and equipped kitchen features ample storage and bench top space, an electric cooker with 4 hotplates and oven, a single (stand-alone) induction cook top, an Anova Sous Vide machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, Pod style coffee machine, and a pantry with plenty of storage for guest supplies. There is ample crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and various other kitchen equipment for the gourmet cook. The laundry alcove has a 7 kg front-loader washing machine and a dryer. The lounge/dining area has a comfortable sofa, coffee table and an extendable dining table seating up to eight people. Other things to note One night's accommodation at Stroudover Cottage is available at a premium cost of $195. 2 - 6 nights accommodation is $185 per night for two people twin share. Additional guest charges of $35 per person, per night for use of second bedroom are set on the seasonal rate and are payable on arrival due to Airbnb systems not being able to charge the fee during the booking process There is a $10 per pet, per night charge also payable on arrival, and for a similar reason. Guests accidental breakage or damages to property need to be reimbursed prior to departure
