Set in rural paradise The space Set in lovely countryside, yet only 3 miles from Exeter Cathedral. Step out of your own dedicated front door into an idyllic courtyard setting surrounded by woodland and farmland. There is a pretty gravel courtyard area right outside your door, with garden furniture and cushions for breakfast or evening drinks. The birdsong in our little woodland dip is simply magical. The Goose House is one of only two adjoining, self-contained Airbnb spaces on the property. Ideally suited to a single professional or commuter, (though we have had hundreds of couples stay). If you are happy for the second single bed to be pulled out and raised to an equal height to make a king, then couples are more than welcome to enjoy this intimate space. (Please note that the bathroom area is simply separated from the main space by a partition wall and door). The self-contained studio cottage holds 3 nicely presented areas with cute decor touches & a characterful, quirky style... The main studio is a 12x12ft living and sleeping area, and has a chic leather sofa; the solid wooden bed opens out into 2 full size singles that can be arranged at level height close together to create a king size sleeping space, or can be set a little further apart, and which, when stowed away, can also be used for lounging in the day. Best to stow the second bed away when not in use to increase living space. Please note that the garage style structure to the right of The Goose House is not part of the Goose House accommodation. Convenient parking is right outside. to the left of your front door. The separate kitchenette area has a mini oven, grill, 2 ring hob, a steamer, a slow cooker, soup maker, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, cafetière etc. There’s an extendable dining or working table, a good selection of DVDs for adults and children; interesting art, an occasional table, clothes hangers and hooks, drawers, interesting books, local maps and guide books, board games, chess board etc. The two further small spaces house the kitchenette which leads in turn onto the shower room and loo, which is separated off from the main living space by a partition wall and door. Once again, the space is ideally suited to a single guest but hundreds of couples, friends and colleagues stay if they are comfortable with the intimate space. You have a courtyard style outdoor seating area right outside your door, complete with lanterns and candles. Partition wall and door provide bathroom privacy. Both wood-framed beds are extremely comfortable and sturdy. Slide the second bed out from underneath the top one, and raise it up to the same height to create a king size sleeping space. (Not necessarily suitable for the very elderly or infirm, since you need to bend to slide and raise the secondary bed to level height if required). Please just ask if you need any assistance. The Goose House has everything you’d need and is so comfortable, warm and pretty. The kitchen has a slow cooker, coffee machine, a steamer, a soup maker, microwave, toaster, mini oven, grill, 2 ring hob etc. 3.1 miles to Sandy Park Rugby Stadium; 2.1 m to Exeter Cathedral; 2.2 miles to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital; 3.1 miles to University of Exeter. Free, easy private dedicated parking right outside your front door for a maximum of one car. Bus stop just up the road - 15 minute walk to the 'A' bus for downtown Exeter. Other things to note Please be aware that there is a pond in the meadow, especially with little ones. You are very welcome to bring your dog/s. Please be aware that the meadow perimeter is not fully dog secure in some places along the tree line. Please do not leave dogs alone on the property for longer than 2 hours. Ask about our dog sitting service! Your kitchenette includes a mini oven/hob. You also have a microwave, electronic slow cooker, soup maker, electric steamer, cafetière, coffee machine for pods, teas, fresh ground coffee. If you’re missing something, do please just ask! We are very happy to help if we can. Partition wall and door provides bathroom privacy. The Goose House comprises 3, small, discreet spaces - the living / sleeping studio area of approximately 12x12 ft sq; the kitchenette, and the bathroom. Outside space and dining furniture is all yours to enjoy in addition to this. The second wooden bed slides out from under the first and raises to equal height, effectively creating the dimensions of a king size bed. (Please note that this arrangement is not necessarily suitable for the elderly or infirm since you need to bend to slide and raise the secondary bed to level height if required). We strongly advise to keep the second bed stowed while not in use to maximise living space.
