A warm welcome awaits all guests, with the convenience of self check-in and check-out. The space Number 18 Loves Lane is a cosy cottage built in the 1800s from Bath stone by the Love family for their estate workers. Positioned at the end of a charming row of five unique cottages, the character of the row has earned them a Grade II listing. Inside, the cottage offers two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and the other with a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds. A travel cot and high chair are available on request. The lounge features a three-seater sofa, a large, comfy armchair, a dining table, and a log burner for cosy nights in, with logs and kindling for your first fire. You can purchase more from me, or buy them from a local shop. You'll also find a Smart TV, DVD player, and a selection of board games. The modern, well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, electric oven, induction hob, coffee bean grinder, and toaster. The downstairs bathroom features a lovely shower and a small bathtub for relaxing with Bramley products. As is typical of cottages from this era, the stairs are steep, and one doorway has a low clearance that may catch out the unwary—particularly the taller guests! Your comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities, so Number 18 is furnished to the standard and style we would expect when on holiday. It’s a characterful, unique, and eclectic space with many thoughtful touches. For instance, curtains are made from old French linen sheets, embroidered with the initials of their original owners, and a vintage artist’s table complements the original wooden floorboards throughout. All linens and towels are provided, with additional towels available for those who wish to enjoy wild swimming in the river just a mile away. (I’m happy to lend you my membership card for access during the opening months). Guests have described Number 18 as "quaint," "secluded," "romantic," and "an ideal spot for quiet, cosy nights in." The village of Wingfield offers a peaceful base to explore the local area, with a popular dog-friendly pub, The Poplars, within walking distance. Other pubs and restaurants are just a short drive away. The cottage boasts a beautiful rear garden with a dining table, chairs, and a charcoal barbecue, while the front garden features a two-seater bench. Both gardens are classic cottage gardens. Please note, there is no grass for your dog, but there is a walking path just a minute away is perfect for morning and evening strolls. There are many other local walks. Guest access The whole cottage is available to you with parking for 2 cars at the side of the cottage. There are small, pretty, gardens to the front and back of Number 18. The back garden has a table and chairs for outside dining when the weather allows! There is also a charcoal fired barbecue. Other things to note Number 18 has fibre broadband
