This house is located in a beautiful setting looking over a rice field. It is in a peaceful local village setting and is approximately 3 km from the nearest beach. The main bedroom is upstairs with a king size bed, its own bathroom with separate shower and bath, living space and balcony. Downstairs are two bedrooms, one with queen size bed and one with two single beds and a desk. There is a shared bathroom downstairs, and a modern open plan style living, dining and kitchen. Outside is a verandah, with a ceiling fan, to sit and read - or sip cocktails - while looking over the rice farm and lotus pond. There is also a large enclosed private garden area with a swimming pool, sun lounges and umbrella and an area for playing games such as badminton etc. Upstairs is a cross trainer and some gym equipment for those that wish to keep fit! Very soon the new gym will be ready in the building next door. The house has air conditioners in the bedrooms and ceiling fans in all rooms. The village location means there are lots of local birds (peacocks, bee eaters and many others), monkeys and other animals. The whole house and pool is available for the exclusive use of guests. Only one guest booking is accepted at a time - the house and pool is for your exclusive use. The house is located next door to the family home (with the building housing the gym in between). Cleaning is included in the price for short stays and some cooking and shopping can be provided if requested for an additional small price. Washing can also be undertaken on request. A washing machine is also available. We will take care of you as much or as little as you would like!! Day tours can be arranged with a car and driver to nearby places such as Ude Walawa National Park, whale watching at Mirrisa, turtle watching, Galle Fort and other places. Down South in Sri Lanka is truly a beautiful place. This house is approximately 2 hours from Colombo via the highway to Matara, one and half hours from Ude Walawe National Park, less than an hour to Hikkaduwa, 5 minutes by car to the beach. Everything is within relatively close reach. A local bus is 5 minute walk to the main road. Tuk Tuk's (three wheelers) are also available and can be readily arranged. We can also arrange a car and driver for day trips and for airport pick ups. There is an automatic generator which switches on automatically when main power is out. The house is located approximately 10km from Tangalle and a few km from Hiriketiya and Dickwella. Tuk Tuk's can easily be arranged for local travel. Airport pick ups and day trips can also be arranged to many activities and attractions. Whale watching at Mirissa is only 40 minutes and Ude Walawe National Park is only 1 1/2 hours and Yala is also close enough for a day trip. Deep sea fishing with local fisherman can also be arranged.
