This is an RV/Camper/Parking site only - But you must bring all your own food and supplies. Your stay will be as private as you want it to be. My home is on the property and I also host a guest suite, so there may be other guests on the property at the same time. This is a working ranch; you are welcome to be as involved (or not) with daily chores as you like. Animals live here, so expect barnyard noises, etc. NO PETS!! RV or Camper ONLY. No bathroom facilities available. No hookups or electrical. I can give you water from the hose. If you want to BBQ, my gas grill is available for an extra fee. No Fires! No Smoking on the property. I have Livestock Guardians, so please don't bring any pets/animals. Please call or text before arrival so I can meet you and show you you where to park. Please plan to arrive at least one hour before dark. There are no lights on the property. This is a working ranch so there are animals everywhere. Mainly alpacas, but we also have a llama (who likes to go for walks), a sheep, chickens (and roosters) (and LOTS of farm fresh eggs), a family of peafowl, a barn cat, two livestock guardian dogs and a terrier puppy-share. I do not provide breakfast, but if you need coffee and see me up and about I'm happy to share. My property is very close to the Coronado National Monument, the south end of the Arizona Trail, LOTS of Birding and Wildlife-watching spots, Wineries, Restaurants, Historical Sites, etc. You could base-camp here and spend a couple of weeks and not see everything the area has to offer. I've lived here for almost 20 years, so if you want recommendations (or a tour guide) just ask! This is a rural area, my closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away. There is a horse rescue nearby and their mountain pasture is just across the road, so you get to watch the horses. Deer (and other wildlife) visit my yard often. The closest city is Sierra Vista about 15 miles north, but the mountain hides most of the lights, so stargazing at night is incredible! We are very close to the entrance to Coronado National Monument, with plenty of hiking trails and a picnic area, visitor's center. Ramsey Canyon and the San Pedro Riparian area are less than ten miles for birders and wildlife-watchers. Kartchner Caverns is 45 min away. Parker Canyon lake is not far. Sonoita / Elgin WINE COUNTRY is not far. Bisbee - 20 miles. Tombstone - 30 miles. Historic Fort Huachuca - 20 miles. You could spend a couple of weeks here and do something different ever single day and still not see it all. There is no public transportation nearby. Having your own vehicle is a must. Since this is a working ranch, please do not enter the animal pens until you have been properly introduced to the Livestock Guardian Dogs! Their job is to protect the herd from all unknown intruders and while they are not dangerous, they WILL do their job. And PLEASE do not bring any pets onto the property. This is a very rural area (translation: quiet, peaceful and somewhat "wild"), and the wildlife was here first - we just do our best to peacefully co-exist. I do my best to keep the homestead area and animal pens rattlesnake free, but please be alert at all times when walking around the area. Speaking of the terrain, we live on a rocky, sometimes windy mountainside, so sensible shoes and clothing are a must-have. Our road is not really a road - it's an "easement" meaning the County does not maintain it. It has been recently graded, and is passable with all types of vehicles, but please respect the neighbors by driving slowly and DO NOT cross the wash if there is water running in it.
