Stylish period home: 7 bed - child friendly!

Built in 1890, our home is a large, period, 7 bedroom property in central England which sleeps up to 16. Private parking and a large rear garden with tons to keep children occupied. It is set up for you to enjoy as your home away from home with linen, fluffy towels and a fully stocked kitchen. PLEASE NOTE: We only accept reservations from users with prior feedback. The space IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING This is a busy family home not an empty rental property. We have 6 children, so expect it feel lived in - not perfect - but there will be cooking oils, spices, board games, umbrellas, Netflix, Prime, HayU and tons of toys and books for you to use. A real home from home. The cupboards/wardrobes will be full of our things. There will not be wardrobe or drawer space, but we provide plenty of hangers and door hooks for your essentials :) **************************************** ABOUT THE HOUSE: BEDROOMS: We have 7 bedrooms, sleeping 16. 2 x king beds 2 x doubles 1 x single floor bed 2 x sets of adult sized bunk beds 2 x fold out mattress (for kids) which can be put in any of the rooms if necessary 2 x travel cots RECEPTION ROOMS: There are 4 reception rooms as well as a large kitchen diner, these comprise of: * 35ft kitchen/diner/snug with a log burner and corner sofa for 10+ * Dining room with table seating 12, plus an extra fold out table for additional guests. * Games room with 7ft pool table, arcade machine with tons of classic games & dart board * Playroom for young children * Drawing room with record player and jigsaw table * Utility room with 2 washing machines and a tumble drier * 2 full bathrooms + 2 WCs GARDEN: 100ft garden with huge climbing frame, 14ft trampoline and lots of outdoor seating and eating areas. Fire pit area with hanging chairs. CHILDREN: We are fully equipped for children and infants: toys, trampoline, 5 tower climbing frame with swings and slides, board games, books, high chair, junior chairs, travel cot, baby bath etc. You are welcome to play with what has been left out, our only request is that our things are treated with respect and care and put back as you found them. PARKING: You can park 3 cars on our drive and the rest can park on the road, for free. PARTIES: We do not rent our home for big parties. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to use our home, which is a maximum of 16 guests. DISCOUNT: We offer discount for 7 days+ and for a month+ booking. These will be applied automatically when you enter your dates. The figure Airbnb gives you includes those discounted rates. Guest access You will have sole use of the property, no one will be onsite Other things to note NEARBY / LOCAL AREA Stourbridge is a small town in the middle of England, literally right on the edge of green belt. The countryside and abundant walks are on your doorstep or within 10-15min drive, such as Bunkers Hill, Clent and Kinver Edge. The immediate area is called The Old Quarter and is full of interesting Victorian properties. PARKS: There are 2 parks just a few minutes walk from the house, one at each end of the road. PUBS: The nearest pub is a local Embers Inn called The Old White Horse , it is at the bottom of the room and serves simple pub food. 3 other pubs are within 3mins walk: The Plough and Harrow, The Longlands (serves pizza) and The wagon and horses (serves cobs). RESTAURANTS: There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the house: Ronnies pizza, Cup which has a different pop up each week, food trucks at The New Inns on Thurs-Sat each week, both The Bombay and Cellars offer great Indian food to eat in or take away, Mr Souvlaki - Greek, The Yak - Nepalese and Cock and Bull - burgers and buttermilk chicken. Within 10 mins drive there are tons of nice restaurants in, Belbroughton, Iverly, Wallheath and Clent. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: We are less than a mile from the train station (stourbridge junction) and the bus station. You can get directly to Birmingham by train in 30mins or Stratford Upon Avon in around 1h30m. There are a few direct trains to London early in the morning/late at night if you fancy a day trip, or you can connect in Birmingham to anywhere in the country at B’ham New St station.
