Secluded Cottage on Sandy Lake

Secluded family cottage on beautiful Sandy Lake. Enjoy a paddle or a swim in the crystal clear spring fed waters. Sandy Lake is 10 min from the town of Buckhorn and 2 hrs from GTA. Relax and enjoy all that this area has to offer! The space The interior features a large great room with cathedral pine ceiling, stone fireplace & floor to ceiling windows as well as a loft overlooking the great room. The great room is open to eating area and kitchen. From the eating area, there is a walkout to both the screened-in porch and deck with glass rails overlooking the lake. Two bedrooms are on the main floor, as well as the master ensuite and 2 pc. washroom. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. Both the master bedroom and bedroom upstairs have private decks overlooking the lake. Unfinished basement with walkout. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. There are stairs from the parking lot and down into the lake. The driveway down to the lake is steep and is not recommended for all cars. There is no EV charging station. A large fire pit and muskoka chairs are by the lake. Other things to note BOATS/WATER TOYS: 2 canoes, 3 kayaks, large floating mat, life jackets WATERFRONT: Shallow stone and sand entry and slopes to deeper water further out. Kid's sand pit near the lake. OTHER TOYS: 3 bikes, bocce ball, badminton, foosball FIREPLACE: Indoor wood burning fireplace is not available in the summer. LINENS: All kitchen towels, blankets and pillows are supplied. We ask that the renters SUPPLY THEIR OWN BED SHEETS AND TOWELS. DRINKING WATER: The tap water source is triple filtered from the lake. It is safe to drink the tap water though we DO NOT recommend drinking from the hose. We also have a water cooler if you choose to bring drinking water. SEPTIC: Our cottage is on a septic system. Only toilet paper and natural waste goes down the toilet, please! GARBAGE & RECYCLING: Renter(s) are responsible for depositing all garbage and recycling in a regulated provincial dump. Any waste left at the cottage is subject to removal fees. GUESTS: For all guests and if you have friends visiting, it would be great to know who they are from a liability standpoint. If you could kindly message us their name, age and if you know their license plate, that would be great. PETS: No. Thanks and enjoy your stay!
