Goora - a tranquil retreat

Lovely Australian homestead comprising of 3 large bedrooms. All 3 rooms have a queen bed in each and the third also has a bunk bed and 1 single so it can sleep up to 5 people. Ceiling fans, central heating and cooling throughout. Large bathroom with spa, open plan living with fully equipped kitchen. The lounge-room has seating for 8-10 people. The home is in a beautiful bushland setting with plenty of space for boat and car parking. Lovely outdoor entertaining area with BBQ and outdoor fire pit. The space Thankfully our home was only minimally impacted by the 2020 bushfires. We are so thankful to the amazing fire fighters who saved our property. They even saved all of our beautiful trees and garden and the birds have definitely returned. The inside of the house has some wear and tear. The house is surrounded by an amazing garden. It’s by far the standout feature of the property. The one downside, you will experience flies & bugs & the hard wood floors can get very dusty at times, especially when it’s windy. This is a great home to relax and entertain There is a well equipped kitchen including gas stove / oven & microwave and separate laundry with washing machine. There is an abundance of space for children to play both inside and out. Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing holiday with family and friends Guest access The property has two dwellings. My dad Phil and his partner Sally are co hosts and they live in the smaller dwelling on the property. My dad loves interacting with guests. He manages all the maintenance on the property and has an enormous amount of local knowledge. The main property ‘Goora’ is ground entry. It has lovely outdoor surrounds and BBQ area with open fire pit where you can sit and relax with a cool drink in the evenings whilst the kangaroos and a variety of bird life call in to feed. Other things to note We charge $20 per night per person after 4 guests (infants excluded). Dad will confirm the numbers of guests during your stay so please be honest & respectful when booking We supply all bed linen and towels however if you’re like me & your sleep is dependent on a good pillow I recommend you bring your own one from home. There is a fire pit which you are welcome to use & you can purchase fire wood in town at the local service station. We are surrounded by an amazing bushland garden so there are plenty of bugs! I recommend you bring along bug repellent and fly spray as we don’t always have this available We no longer keep any pantry items at the property. So we suggest you bring the basics from home to reduce costs., We don’t have wifi. It’s a great time to switch off!
