At Salt Water Shack, you are located one street back from the esplanade of one of Australia's most iconic coastlines and a short drive to the world famous McLaren Vale wine region. You’ll enjoy a cosy light filled 2 bedroom house with an open plan kitchen, dining and living area and a large outdoor space. If you are after a roomy luxurious place, this isn’t the house for you. This is however a humble, honest home base to explore this great location, at a price affordable for all families. The space Salt Water Shack is great for families, couples, solo travellers and groups of friends. It is the perfect place to unwind and a great base to further explore the Fleurieu Peninsula. It is easy walking distance, 400m along the esplanade to Port Willunga Beach and Star of Greece restaurant. Head down to the beach or explore the wineries. Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at the many cafes and restaurants nearby. At Salt Water Shack, you’ll enjoy a cosy light filled 2 bedroom house. The main bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom can sleep 2 singles by way of single bunk beds. All the beds have new quality linen, blankets and pillows. A portacot is available for you to set up. All bed and bath linen is supplied as well as some beach towels, though you may also wish to bring additional beach towels. The house has reverse cycle air conditioning and heating. The house features a fully equipped kitchen with a full sized fridge, microwave, oven, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. The dining table seats six. A high chair is provided for families that require it for their small travellers. Complimentary wifi is available as well as access to streaming services on the Smart TV. The outdoor space includes a secure back garden with swings and an outdoor shower, perfect to relax in after a day at the beach. We have a barbecue and an undercover eating area. For cooler nights we have a campfire area set up. Explore the coast, there are loads of options within an approximate 10 minute drive. -Large supermarkets -McLaren Vale wine region -Sellicks Hill Buddha -Willunga Township, where there are many cafes, restaurants and shops. The Willunga Farmers Market is held every Saturday morning. -Aldinga (old) township offering a pub, an award winning bakery, fish, chips and pizza, and an organic grocery and a fantastic café. -40 minute drive to Victor Harbor -50 minute drive to Kangaroo Island Ferry -45 minute drive to Adelaide CBD Guest access Guests have full use of the entire property Other things to note Outside pets are welcome but please ensure you let us know in your booking. You must clean up after your pet, including picking up dog droppings. Please bring your pet’s bedding as there is no kennel provided. Unfortunately due to some guests not observing this rule, we must now add that pets are not permitted inside. If there is pet hair inside the house, a further $50 will be deducted in cleaning fees.
