Baan Moon is originally a fisherman's house. It is located on the Klong Prao estuary, a stone's throw from Klong Prao beach on the west coast of the island. Enjoy a more authentic stay on Koh Chang in an area most visitors don't get to see and experience. It is a quiet spot away from crowds and is ideal for anyone worried about social distancing whilst on holiday. There are no crowds or large groups of people in this area. Koh Chang (and Trat province) had zero cases of coronavirus. The space THE HOUSE -> The 120m² villa is fully equipped and boasts a large open living space and kitchen, two large master bedrooms with outstanding views, one smaller room and two bathrooms, perfect for vacationers from 1 to 6 persons. -> The 180 degrees panoramic terrace offers unparalleled views onto the jungle-covered mountains, the mangrove, a large coconut grove and the beach & sea (and of course daily sunset sights!). Small fishing boats and tourists on their kayaks sail past as you relax in one of the hammocks, chill out on the wooden deck or sunbathe on the outer deck. -> The house is centrally located on the west coast of the island, half way to the north and south, just minutes away from 2 villages offering all daily conveniences (supermarket, bakery, café, restaurants, massage, pharmacy, scooter rental, etc) and from all attractions including Koh Chang's longest beach, elephant /jungle trekking, sailing, kayak, tennis, diving clubs, cooking lessons & more! 10 min to the International Clinic. -> We have lived on Koh Chang since 2003. Our guesthouse 'Baan Rim Nam' is just 200 metres away on the same river estuary. So we will be happy to recommend all the good places and to be of assistance at any time. -> IDEAL FOR: Single persons, couples and families. Lagoon-side location perfect for people looking for peace and quiet. Sea lovers, fishermen, yogis, dreamers & peace-seekers. Don't worry about mosquitoes - there aren't any as Baan Moon is near the mouth of the estuary, the water outside is sea water not freshwater. -> NOT SUITABLE FOR: Due to the location of the house on a quiet lagoon and the nature of the house (wooden house on water) we are unable to accept groups of people who come to party. The house is strictly non-smoking.
