The Old Flax Mill, Aghadowey, County Londonderry, Beautiful new suites in a very unique building fronted by an amazing river. The Old Flax Mill is a fantastic stone building originally dating from 1786 has been renovated to a high standard. No Parties or events allowed at this time The space The Old Flax Mill near Coleraine has a unique heritage stay and market position in terms of its huge size which can accommodate large groups of people under one roof . We have nine regular bedrooms six of which are luxury ensuites, a family room of four singles and a ground floor room for the less well abled Three lounges on the ground floor and a fourth on the top floor so groups can gather as the wish. A riverside walkway down by steps astride the Old Mill gives this property a distinctive flavour of the year it was first built, 1786 On a summer day there is no better place to unwind with privacy or bbq by the river with all the mill facilities less than 100 yards behind. The Old Flax Mill Accommodation Offering There are 9 bedrooms rooms on three floors I don't know how much privacy is a factor as are usual formula is family or wedding party gatherings though we have hosted community groups, pro am golfers on tournaments, cyclists etc. There are 9 bedrooms , six of which have ensuite bathrooms 1) Five double rooms with big beds, mainly King size 2) Huge master bedroom has two king size beds 3) One room of four singles [family bathroom] 4) One of three singles [with ensuite bathroom] 5) One ground floor room with double bed for less well abled There are also two trundle beds and space in most of the rooms to position to place smaller children in best proximity to adults to supplement the above where necessary Children There are two travel cots available. Leather sofas and warming wood stoves in the lounges provide relaxing and spacious rooms for large parties to gather.
