The space The apartment is located at a tranquil treelined street in the most attractive Willows neighborhood, a 'stone's throw' away from downtown Palo Alto (<5min. bike ride/10min walk) and Stanford University. The apartment is completely remodeled with beautiful and sophisticated materials - sustainable bamboo hardwood floors throughout, reclaimed concrete countertop, crown molding, recessed lights, rain-shower, Persian marble... The unit is fully furnished and equipped, has a queen size and king size bed, walk-in-closet. The 'floor-to-ceiling' windows and doors open up your own sunny terrace/patio from both rooms, which make it very light and airy, from there you do yoga, or just enjoy the California sun. Your lush patio and bountiful garden is filled with flowers and plants, hummingbirds and bumblebees - your own California paradise. Guest access Through your own gates, you enter your private oasis and quiet patio, witch leads you up to the apartment and its two bedrooms. You access the cozy apartment via a keyless lock. The apartment has super-high-speed Wifi throughout is equipped with an Apple TV (w. Netflix and more). The modern kitchenette is well equipped with all the utensils and cookware for 2, or more, and has fridge (w. small freezer), microwave, coffee makers, and an in-unit laundry/dryer combo and a portable stove (but no dishwasher) The apartment is completely separate, while attached to the main house, it has double insulated- and soundproofed walls ensuring everyones privacy. Being very centrally located, with walking distance (10min.) to the shops, restaurants and cafés on University Ave. in Palo Alto (the nicest and most vibrant street in Silicon Valley). Only a 15 min. bike ride to Stanford University and 10 min. to the posh Stanford Shopping center, where you find all the large brands as well as more nice restaurants and cafés. Other things to note - No overnight street parking is allowed in Menlo Park, but we will provide parking permits that you can use to legally park on the street overnight. - No smoking allowed on the premises and typically no pets (unless pre-approved) - Like most bountiful gardens with greenery, trees, and flowers it attracts hummingbirds, various local insects/essential pollinators, especially in spring and summer months. If allergic or phobia, please consider another stay. - Like most neighborhoods throughout Silicon Valley, there is some home construction projects going on, but they have to adhere to noice control, strict building codes, and work hours. - The main property is equipped with a security system, with outdoor cameras, one facing the gate in the courtyard. Which should be turned off prior to your arrival, if on, it has a small-, but distinct and unmistakable blue light, if forgotten to be turned off please contact your host and they will turn it off.
