Rambas Firefly Lodge just 2 hours from Colombo is in a now forested rubber plantation bordering a 6000 acres secondary rainforest. The ideal getaway from the city life to live with nature. The lodge has power but we provide hurricane lamps as a backup in the event of a power cut. It is a haven for bird watchers and nature lovers. Kitchen facilities are provided and groceries can be ordered at service fee The space The cabin on stilts brings you on par with the tree canopies and the birds and brings you closer to nature. The spring water natural pool and the sound of the water flowing, the serenity of the place during the daytime and the dimly lit hurricane lamps in the night and the croaking sound of the frogs and the call of the locus in the night in the background is so relaxing. The morning sunshine streaming into the cabin warms you up from the chilly nights. A large open Living and dining available in the Forest Lodge and a Tented office space is tucked away in the forest patch for work with WIFI availability. A minimal fee will be charged. View point in the tea field to watch the sunrise and to relax in the evening watching fireflies flutter around. Guest access The firefly lodge with the pool, The forest lodge with dining and living and the kitchen for cooking and the tented office space and entire 50 acres for walking and trekking and bird watching is available for guests Other things to note The cabin has power but hurricane lamps are available in the event of a power cut. There is mini fridge, electric kettle available in the rooms. However, we also have a separate kitchen where the guests can cook their own meals and we have staff to help and assist and wash up. There is no WIFI in the lodge but it is available in the tented office space at a fee.
