A traditional Queensland home on the doorstep of all that West End offers. Our home is a restored 1920 timber house. We are a 10 minute walk to the Convention Centre and QPAC, 15 minutes to the city, 20 minutes by bus or ferry to Qld University of Technology and University of Qld, 3 minutes walk to a fabulous array of restaurants. Your space has a separate entry at the the front-we live at the rear, is self contained with its own bathroom and cooking facility, queen bed and wrap-around veranda. The space Our place is perfect for couples or singles. Our home is a renovated traditional Queenslander timber house with a modern extension and has two levels. We live at the rear and your space is at the front, is self contained with separate access. It includes a queen size comfortable bed, high quality 100% cotton and linen bedding, soft towels, free Wifi internet, a large smart TV, storage and a desk. It has a wrap around covered verandah with potted bougainvillea plants. There is a modest cooking area with fridge, cook top, toaster and kettle. We provide some basics like teas, coffee and plunger, milk, butter, sugar, oil, condiments, cooking utensils and crockery. For your first night we provide bread, fruit and condiments for that post arrival snack. On street parking is available but I’ll need your car registration for a permit, and a clothes washer on request. We have a small poodle called Mungo (a poodle cross). He is friendly and obedient Our house is solar powered with a storage battery and appliances have been chosen for low energy use. Please be mindful of this and turn off appliances such as the heater before going out. Leave the ceiling fan on on its lowest setting. Guest access Your place is yours alone to use. My front garden is also available and you’ll share it with me as I’m sometimes there fixing plants and watering.
