Description
I enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I frequently use Airbnb when I travel. I may be traveling and you may have the house to yourself! I live in a lovely tree lined neighborhood. There are several beautiful parks nearby. The space I have a charming Tudor style house located next to Muhlenberg College in a lovely area of town. There are markets (Wegman's), restaurants, Starbucks and a movie theater with a 1-2 mile radius. I am located about 50 minutes from Philadelphia, and less than 2 hours from NYC. There is public transportation to both of these cities. There are 5+ colleges located in the area, including Muhlenberg, Lehigh, Lafayette and Moravian. You will have access to the refrigerator. There is a full bath located near the bedroom, which I may share but often do not when guests are here. I use the half bath off the kitchen. There’s a full bath in the basement if a guest wants a private bathroom. My home was built in 1938; I treat it with care and try preserve its charm. If you are a large person, you may not be comfortable in my shower. There is wireless internet. No TV. My design studio is not in my home, but I sometimes work from home. I’m traveling less and less these days, so I’m usually around when you’re my guest. There is some public transportation nearby. There are great parks within walking distance. There is a car rental company (Enterprise) nearby that will pick you up if you want to rent a car. This rental is for one bedroom with a queen size bed. The room is suitable for 1-2 people at most. Guest access Light cooking, kitchen access During your stay I'm usually in and out. My guests come and go as they please. I don't mind late arrivals. I am fostering a small, sweet non- shedding dog. He does not go in the guest bedroom. He has hair, not fur. Other things to note Great parks nearby. Good jogging paths. Lots of new restaurants coming to the area. Bethlehem and Easton are fun to explore, too. Philadelphia, the Poconos, and NYC within 1-2 hours drive. As noted by a guest, my house is older with original windows, and I keep the heat at about 62- 65 degrees in the winter. I wear a sweater in my home to stay comfortable. My house is pleasant in the warmer weather, and I keep it at about 75 degrees in summer. I don’t overdue the A/C, so keep that in mind. I do want guests to be comfortable in my home, and at ease.
