Cabana 2 has twin beds each with a mosquito net. The cabana comes with a fan, ensuite bathroom with shell shower, chill out veranda and hammock. Artwork by a local artist adorn the walls. The cabana has been individually designed incorporating traditional building techniques and locally sourced materials. The cabana has been constructed out of palmyra wood and coconut thatching. Natural and sustainable! All structures on site have been made by our family out of natural materials. Our garden of tranquility is full of tropical trees, plants and installation artworks made out of found and natural materials. Guests have access to our on-site restaurant serving delicious seafood, vegetable dishes and fresh juices. We have 2 chillout areas- one at the resteraunt and a seperate elevated chillout amongst the palm trees with glimpses of the lagoon-perfect for yoga! We have a small boat permanently anchored to the lagoon shore where you can have a drink and watch the most amazing sunsets. Guests also have exclusive access to beach huts on Kalpitiya Lagoon and Vella Island- key kite surfing spots. Guests have access to communal chill out/ restaurant area, our small party boat permanently anchored on the lagoon where you can have a drink and watch the sunset as well as exclusive use of our beach huts on Kalpitiya lagoon and Vela Island. I reside on site and happy to assist with any enquiries about the local area to make your stay more enjoyable. I love meeting new people, learning about different cultures and their ways of life. Having been a local boatsman all my life I have an intimate knowledge of the Kalpitiya peninsula which I'm more than happy to share with you :) I can tell you where the best kite surfing spots are, show you the nicest beaches and take you to visit far off islands :) Our place is the only 100 percent local family run business in Kalpitiya! We look forward to serving you with our authentic local hospitality! The local area where my property is situated is idyllic -serene, quiet, and covered with coconut groves. Wild donkeys roam the dirt roads. Kalpitiya is a place to get away from it all. So don't expect bustling nightclubs or bars. It's quietness is part of its charm. You can watch gorgeous sunsets on the lagoon just 10 metres from my place. Nights are peaceful where the stillness is only interrupted by the occasional fish splashing. It is a very special part of Kalpitiya. Our price includes daily boat ride to the main kite surfing area on lagoon. Please discuss your local transport needs when you arrive so we can help coordinate with other guests to ensure a full boat. Our boat heads to the sand bar in the morning and heads black at sunset. Any additional transfers required incur a small charge to cover petrol costs. Breakfast is included free of charge. If you would like lunch or dinner, please let us know in the morning so we can ensure the freshest seafood possible. Our dinners are renown- check out our reviews! On our rotating menu we serve fresh crabs, prawns, calamari, fish, curries, vegetables, rice dishes and bbqs. Daily return boat transfer to Kalpitiya sand bar ( main kite surfing spot on the lagoon) is included free of charge.
