The Old Barn, Country Cottage in courtyard setting

The Old Barn is a quaint country cottage tucked away in an enclosed cobbled courtyard. It is part of a development of 3 holiday homes set within extensive garden grounds, with ample parking space for cars or a campervan. It is only 40 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport and its central location in Fife is perfect to use as a base for exploring many Scottish tourist attractions. Or relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside in our beautiful home away from home. The space The Old Barn is a delightful conversion of an old agricultural building and recently renovated to incorporate some charming and unusual features. The kitchen facilities include an electric hob, microwave, electric oven, small fridge and all necessary culinary equipment. There is a breakfast bar with bar stools and a pull out table with 4 chairs. There is Freeview TV, and free WiFi. There is full central heating throughout the house and a wood-burning stove in the sitting room. The bedroom on the upstairs mezzanine level is open plan and overlooks the lounge. There are another 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. Outdoors there is a small enclosed courtyard but you would share the large garden areas with the other 2 holiday homes. There is a large grassy area which is ideal for football, badminton or cricket. There is a small summer house to sit in on a cool day and shared barbecue for the warmer weather. If you are a particularly large party, please inquire about our other holiday houses, a 2 bed house and a 4 bed house, all on the same site. Guest access You will have the whole house to yourself and share a large part of the garden and utility room with other guests. Please do not enter the outside areas behind the fences and gates. Other things to note The upstairs bedroom is open plan to the living room below which has roof windows. Please bring your eye masks if you don't want to be woken by the early morning light. The 3rd bedroom is small and has bunk beds which are more suited to children. There is a small freezer in the shared utility room for the exclusive use of the Old Barn guests.
