Come stay under the rocks in a little Island Cave Getaway! The internet connection has been restored!!!! Our open plan - studio type apartment with one bed, one pull out bed, and one bathroom was carved out of the mountain side 200 years ago! Well located within walking distance to the port, taverns, supermarkets and more. Whether you are on vacation, or a short trip to the Island you are sure to enjoy a relaxing time in this unique little space under the rocks! Welcome to Hydra Island !! The space Recently renovated in keeping with historical traditions the building includes two adjacent apartments. Your Private Studio Style Space Includes: • - Wi-Fi • - Fans • - Air conditioning • - Fully equipped kitchen Comfortable living space with extra pull out couch Small outside entrance area with a large brick built BBQ which is available exclusively to the Earth House. The remaining outside area is shared with the apartment above you. The Earth House is subterranean and is the oldest part of the house. Much of the character has been retained during refurbishment (2015) So Plan to enjoy 200 years of history within these walls! Being an Airbnb building it is possible that you will run into guests of the adjacent apartments - feel free to mingle, make friends, and have fun! Guest access Guests have access to the entire cave style apartment, BBQ and shared outdoor space. Other things to note Although there are few steps, Hydra is quite a hilly island. Come prepared for walking. The property has been in the family for nearly 200 years, so is full of personal belongings, although it has been extended, adapted and renovated in that time! The building includes two additional apartments also listed here on Airbnb (in the case of more than 5 people, feel free to contact me to discuss) The Earth House is let as a whole property or as three separate units for holidays on a self-catering basis for a minimum of 4 nights. Linen: Bed linen, towels, & beach towels are supplied. Bed linen is changed weekly. Discounted periods: 10% discount is applied to bookings in March, April, May, October & November, EXCLUDING Greek Orthodox Pascha and Catholic Easter weeks and Greek/Hydra festival & bank holidays.
