Cosy, Secluded Shepherd's Hut

Get in touch to book 😊 The Hut is warm and well insulated with a fantastic wood-burning stove and an extra electric heater. Relax in the evening by the fire with the fairy lights twinkling. The famous and stunning Jurassic Coast is just 5 minutes drive away… step out and explore The space The shepherds hut itself has a cosy, super comfy double bed with tea and coffee facilities on a table right next to you for those days where you don't fancy getting up! There is a sweet, wood-fired stove in the hut (logs, kindling and firelighters provided) that burns beautifully and keeps it warm and toasty inside. If getting the fire going doesn't suit your fancy, and/or you want to keep extra warm during the night (although with super insulation and feather down duvet, you won't need it!) there is also a fab electric heater next to you. By the fire, there's comfy seating on either side with blankets and cushions provided for an evening's snuggling! There is a little fridge for all your perishables and an electric kettle for that necessary morning coffee, as well as a toaster. Make breakfast without leaving the delicious warmth of the hut during those frosty mornings! The outdoor kitchen is right next to your door, covered with an all-weather-proof awning, made from reclaimed timber and upcycled slate, complete with cast-iron stove top and a sink with running water (hot water from the kettle for all your washing up). There are vintage metal chests for food storage and spices, oil, salt and pepper provided. The seating is also under cover so no matter the weather you have indoor-outdoor space. A short meander up the meadow takes you to the shower room, totally private to you. The shower is fantastic with super hot water, storage for all your bathroom necessities and hooks and chairs for clothes and towels. Approximately 30 steps from your front door is your loo. Environmentalism is at the heart of everything we do here at Bonhays. In keeping with this ethos, we have custom built a compost loo with comfort and cleanliness at the forefront of its design. Guest access All your facilities are private, with off-road parking on hardcore, private loo, and private shower!
