Retro Retreat, Herne Bay

Our spacious studio with a vintage vibe is on the lower ground floor of our home. We are a ten minute walk to the beach & town. Open plan space: double bed, generous lounge area & beautiful shower room. Use of our lovely garden & patio with barbecue. The studio is self-contained with private entrance. There is no kitchen, but we provide a continental breakfast and there is a kettle, microwave and mini fridge. All you need for an escape from everyday life: beach nearby & fantastic coastal walks. The space Styled with an eclectic mix of vintage and modern furniture, soft furnishings and artwork gathered over many years by the owners who are lovers of mid-century design. Guest access The private studio is on the lower ground floor of our family home, there are steps down to the studio, which is self-contained with a private entrance. We are usually around to welcome guests but a lockbox is also available. Guests have access to the studio, shower room and patio/garden, the garden may also be used by the owners. Off-road parking is available on our driveway. Other things to note The studio does not have a kitchen, and there are no cooking facilities. There is a super quiet mini fridge (fits a few essentials), kettle and filter coffee jug. Coffee and tea are provided along with fresh milk. There are plenty of plates and cups in the drawers as well as cutlery. Just leave used crockery etc in the bowl outside and we will remove for washing. There is a hanger for clothes and chest of drawers. The studio is centrally heated with thermostat control. New (award-winning) Emma mattress to ensure you get an extra comfy night’s sleep. The studio is accessed via lit steps to the lower ground floor. We have a friendly cat, Tiggy, who is not allowed into the studio, but she may come and say hello if you are in the garden. Although pets are excluded from the studio please be aware that a cat lives in our environment, and consider this carefully when booking our place if you have allergies to animals.
