The space This is a double bedroom with a private bathroom and access to a terrace, at 8, Radices House in Gudja. This is a 40-50 year old traditional house located behind the historic Palazzo Dorell, a huge palace which was built by the Knights of St John to provide a place where the knights could rest after their hunting events. Radices House has been newly refurbished and professionally redecorated with precious furniture, chandeliers and collectables mixed with new pieces of furniture to ensure that our guests fully enjoy the experience of living in an old Maltese villa. The common area has been restored to keep the traditional classic style of the house while the bedrooms have been equipped with new furniture to guarantee comfort and relaxation. We have been voted as Superhosts over again, because our guests have appreciated that we do our utmost to make you feel at home. Our guests may watch Netflix, or they may sit on the terrace and enjoy the sun. Beaches are very close and so are the beautiful views of cliffs, the countryside, towns and cities, restaurants, coffee shops, are all reachable by public buses. We will always be here to help you with your itinerary and to see that you are fully satisfied with your stay at our beautiful house! We are very eco conscious and guests will be reminded to act responsibly too. We strive to keep our rates as low as possible whilst keeping a high level of cleanliness and comfort. Our room rates do not include breakfast because most of our guests have an early fight to catch; however, you may always help yourself with coffee, tea, sugar, milk, filtered water, juice, croissants and cereal or fruit. Our rates do not include city tax (50c per person per night), the use of laundry washing/tumble dryer/iron however, you may ask the host and we may charge you only a small additional fee of Eur3.50. Kindly indicate your check-in and check-out time since we are not always around. You may check-in at any time from 1630hrs onwards and you may check-out at your convenience but by not later than 10hrs. Thank you. Guest access You may hire a car and park free of charge near the residence (no parking problems here) or you may take the bus and go anywhere in Malta for cheap. The bus stop is right across the road. Otherwise, you may just walk to the airport and take direct buses to almost everywhere in Malta. We have had guests who experienced the beautiful scenery just be walking around the island. During your stay Guests will be able to interact with the host. Details how to communicate will be revealed to you after you have completed your reservation. Other things to note PLEASE READ THE BELOW VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING A ROOM AT RADICES GUEST HOUSE:- Check-in starts from 15hrs onwards, and rooms must be vacated by 1000hrs the next day. Guests are expected to act responsibly by ensuring that the front door is well closed every time they enter or exit the house. Furthermore, they are expected to see that all lights are turned off before going to sleep or before leaving the rooms. Guests are also requested not to waste precious water. It is important that guests respect this and endeavour to reduce waste of water and electricity throughout their stay in Malta/Gozo. Guests are asked to kindly lift their luggage carefully and not drag their luggage around the house so as not to scratch or in any way damage the old marble floors and the marble stairs. Guests are also asked not to walk around the house in high heels. Luggage is not to be put on beds or sofas. Damaged sofas, cushions or bedspreads will be reported to AirBnB and guests will be asked to pay for damages. Guests are kindly requested to keep their rooms and common areas as clean as possible to respect the host and the other guests. Guests do not have access to the kitchen, but may make use of the coffee bar. A microwave is also to be found in the coffee bar. Guests are also kindly requested to keep the volume of their television set and their voices as low as possible. Radices House is located close to the airport so we normally have guests checking-in very late at night and checking-out very early in the morning. Please keep as quiet as possible to respect the other guests and therefore no slamming of doors. Smoking inside the house is prohibited. Smokers are invited to make use of the terraces.
