Amoreto - Roman's House From our family to yours.

Amoreto- Roman's House is my beloved childhood home, a house PLUS a romantic cottage with above ground sun heated pool (12x 6 m), ideal for an early spring and Easter or Summer / Fall vacation for up to 6 + guests, couples, or couples with children . In the heart of Tuscany, with private parking and vast gated gardens, the property is located at about 8 Km from Lucca and Viareggio, within a short distance from beach, river and mountains. Also close are Pisa, Florence, and the Chianti region. The space Amoreto - Roman’s House is located in Maggiano, nestled in a quiet and green location surrounded by Tuscan hills, walking distance from the medieval monastery of Certosa and the medieval Castle of Nozzano, far from crowded spaces and yet close enough to main centers like Florence and Lucca with their historical treasures and life . The above ground pool (approx 12 x 6 meter) is sun heated and open from June till September weather allowing .The grounds are entirely fenced for privacy. Guest access Pisa airport is a short half hour drive away. Easily accessible through Via Sarzanese, the property is walking distance from public transportation (bus) to the beach of Viareggio ( 35/40 minutes bus ride West) and the closest medieval city of Lucca (20/30 minutes ride East). From Lucca and Pisa trains and buses are available to reach Florence, Siena, Rome and other centers. Also very close are Montecatini and the Chianti region with their wine tasting, the beaches of Versilia, with their fancy night life, Art museums and all kind of activities from shopping to horse back righting, from cooking classes to spelunking... Other things to note My dad built this house in 1960 and the cottage in 1972 . He loved this place . That is why we call it Amoreto. I grew up at Amoreto where there are still a lot of the original family furniture and photos. Amoreto is a old house full of personality, with lots of light and ocean breezes because it's situated at the mouth of the two hills that rise just east of the lake of Massaciuccoli and the Tirreno sea, both visible from the beautiful, and windy road of Monte di Quiesa. When my son Roman was little, my dad told him the cottage was his own special little home in Italy ( my son and I live in California ) . My dad put a door bell with my son's name on the outside wall by he main door. That's why the cottage is called " Roman's house" . My grandmother's armoir and mirror are still there, together with lots and lots of happy and loving memories. The above ground pool is a newer addition for the enjoyment of our guests.
