Tranquil Shepherds hut with hot tub

The Daffodil Hut is a beautiful,luxury shepherds hut overlooking open countryside at the top of a field in a quiet equestrian property. You can relax in the hot tub while taking in the views. It is completely self contained ,fully equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing stay in beautiful Cornwall. We are in the centre of Cornwall, ideally placed to visit the Helford and lizard peninsula or Falmouth and Penryn, both coasts are a short drive away, we are dog friendly. The space The Shepherds hut has beautiful views stretching for miles and you can sit and admire them whilst enjoying a barbecue outside in the garden area or from the hot tub which is available all year round. In the winter cosy up in front of the log burner, the hut is very warm even when cold outside and also has central heating. The hut itself contains everything you will need, there is an induction hob, microwave, air fryer ,toaster and kettle as well as a barbecue outside. The hut is fully equipped with plates saucepans and utensils if you wish to cook for yourself and there are also lots of great places to eat nearby. There is hot water in both the kitchen and bathroom a fully plumbed in toilet and shower in the bathroom. The hut is beautifully decorated to compliment the Cornish daffodils that grow wild in the fields in early spring and the area outside the hut has been planted with wild flowers. There is much wildlife around the land Buzzards are a common site and if you are lucky you can sometimes see a barn owl and regularly hear them. Rabbits abound and there are many foxes to be spotted wandering across our land. Sheep graze outside the hut in the Spring and Summer and we have 3 ponies. Stithians lake is 5 minutes away which is a haven for bird watchers , hikers and water sport enthusiasts. There is a nature reserve circular walk on the doorstep and many other walks to explore nearby. We provide all towels and robes for the hot tub and bedding as well as tea ,coffee and Sugar.The Star Inn, Porkellis is half a mile away and you will be warmly welcomed by Anthony and Andrew the owners, who provide a delicious menu using local produce , dogs welcome. The Golden Lion Stithians is a mile and a half in the other direction and you can relax in their beautiful gardens overlooking the lake while enjoying a meal or drink , again dog friendly in the gardens and bar. Stithians lake itself provides a host of watersports to enjoy, from windsurfing to sailing. Alternatively you can either walk around the lake or sit in the cafe and enjoy a pizza whilst watching all the activity. We are between both coasts so you can take a short drive to the tropical gardens and beaches of the south coast or alternatively explore the rugged North coast. Medlyn Moor nature reserve is at the bottom of the hill for a leisurely walk. There are supermarkets a short drive away in Falmouth or Helston but please note Porkellis does not have a shop but I provide all essentials in the cottage, including, tea, coffee and sugar. We also have space to store bicycles if you want to take advantage of the great cycle rides to explore in Cornwall. Guest access The guests have the hut and surrounding area to them selves. Other things to note The lane to our property is a bumpy track , it is absolutely fine but we like to let you know. We are also remote and it is a quiet area you will need to drive a short distance to go to a shop and the nearest pub is a 15 minute walk.
