Come enjoy wide open quiet spaces on our almost 30-acre farm. If you need time and space to unwind, you will find that here. Our farm includes a farm cat, 2 rescue dogs, a flock of chickens (fresh eggs please!!) and a few horses. If you are NOT an animal lover, Firefly Farm might not be a good fit. Marshmallow (our cat) will sometimes make the top of your vehicle her little resting place. And if you leave your door open, she might just jump right in! This comfortable and cozy & eclectic private and separate loft space is located on our farm in Camden, SC. The loft can accommodate 3 adults comfortably on a queen bed with a high quality Tuft & Needle mattress upstairs and a comfortable day bed downstairs. There is also a fold out futon cushion available if you should need it. Please note the nightly fee is for 2 guests ONLY. There will be a $10 additional fee per night, per each additional guests over 2 years old. The loft is limited to 4 guests ONLY (If you have a heartbeat, you are considered a “guest.”) Please be honest when you provide number of guests included during your stay. Any deception can result in a terminated stay.) The loft also includes a comfortable seating space, dining table and chairs both upstairs and downstairs, TV with cable (upstairs), high speed wireless wifi throughout, a full-size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, and a private full bath with full size shower. Please note the bathroom is located downstairs while the queen bed sleeping quarters are located upstairs. Note, there is NOT a full-size stove, oven or dishwasher in the space. However, there is a toaster oven, single cook top burner & microwave available for preparing small meals. If your travels require an extended stay, your loft stay also includes a washer and dryer located in the left side “wing” of the loft building. Please note, the laundry room space has a separate entrance than the main loft space. *****THIS BUILDING IS TOTALLY SEPARATE FROM OUR HOME. AS OUR GUEST YOU WILL BE THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE LOFT DURING YOUR STAY. SOME OF THE SPACE INSIDE THE LOFT IS USED TO STORE PERSONAL BELONGINGS (HOLIDAY DECORATIONS AND THE LIKE), HOWEVER, THE HOST WILL NEVER ACCESS THE LOFT SPACE DURING YOUR STAY WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. THE HOST’S GARDENING & POOL SUPPLIES ARE STORED IN THE RIGHT OUTSIDE “WING” OF THE LOFT. THIS SPACE INCLUDES A SEPARATE ENTRANCE THAT THE HOST MAY NEED TO ACCESS DURING YOUR STAY. IF THIS IS AN ISSUE FOR YOU, PLEASE PASS ON RESERVING THE RED ROOF LOFT FOR YOUR STAY******** The Red Roof Loft is located conveniently less than 1.5 miles from the SC Equine Park and quick and easy 4 minute access to Interstate 20. Camden dining, antiques shopping, historic revolutionary park and all things Camden horse community are all within a 10 minute drive. And if you are looking for more adventure, shopping, dining and the like, Columbia is a short 30 minute drive straight over on I20!! If you've come to enjoy a USC football game, you can be at the stadium in less than 45 minutes!! We are also located 30 minutes from Shaw AFB and Sumter SC. There is plenty of room at Firefly to park horse trailers, RVs or any other large vehicle. The farm also boasts plenty of paddock space if your travels require it. Feel free to wander about Firefly Farm but PLEASE BE CAREFUL! We ask that our guests please do not enter the paddock areas and do not enter the chicken house. We also ask that you please DO NOT enter the pool enclosure area. Our family occupies both homes located on Firefly Farm and, unfortunately, (because of insurance purposes) we do not allow loft guests to use the pool area. You are welcome to walk throughout the grounds of the property, swing beneath an old oak tree, sit by the pond, pet a horse (but please be careful!) or relax in the hammock. The choice is yours. We want to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We will interact with our guests as much or as little as you like. Our home is located on the farm a short distance from the loft. We would be happy to answer any questions you might have or help in any way. Camden is South Carolina's oldest inland city. Steeped in history and situated 20 minutes from the Columbia metropolitan area, Camden offers quaint shopping, varied dining and a very appealing and relaxing small-town lifestyle. You are certain to find Camden's appeal irresistible! Camden, known as "The Steeplechase Capital of the World" is home to the Carolina Cup and Colonial Cup, which bring visitors from across the globe for the sports of steeplechase racing and tailgating. You can rise early and go watch as thoroughbreds train at Springdale Race Course or tour the National Steeplechase Museum located on the grounds. You will need a vehicle to get to our house. Camden is served by two Amtrak trains per day in a lovely new depot that has just been completely renovated. Additionally, Columbia Metropolitan Airport is about 45 minutes away. You will find convenient and plentiful parking here. If you have a horse trailer or boat with you, we have plenty of room for that, too!! There is no public transportation available so a vehicle is a must. There are several roads that many bike or run/walk in the area. We do charge a small cleaning fee but ask that you still please leave the space tidy upon departure. Please clean up any spills or debris from the floors immediately. There is a broom and dustpan available behind the bathroom door as well as paper towels to clean up spills. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy your stay at Firefly Farm. We ask that you treat our home like you would your own. Clean up after yourself, put things back where you found them, relax, recharge and HAVE FUN!
