Charming Small house Holmenkollen
Description
Typical Norwegian cottage, very cosy in green (or white in the winter) peaceful surroundings. The cottage was originally built as a stable. Walking distance to Holmenkollen Ski Jump. 10 minutes walking to the metro. See also charming flat at the same property (under host)! The space This small house was built in Valdres in the year 1850. Originally it was used as a stable and cottage (to get more food) on the way with the animals up to the mountains in the springtime and down from the mountains after the summer. It was then moved to Oslo and eventually rebuilt for housing with warmth in all floors in addition to the fireplace and a bathroom with shower. This house is very close to the enormous woods of Oslo called Nordmarka. You will be sleeping close to a lovely small river basin with the roar of the water except when the weather has been very dry. Most water in it in the spring and in the autumn. There is not a separate kitchen, but a small refrigerator, coffee capsule machine, water kettle and a small oven with two cooking tops. But only water in the bathroom. Hairdryer is there. We quite often see deer in the garden and of course ants or an occasional spider like in the forest. They are perfectly friendly. Guest access It is lovely to do hiking in the woods from here. You will find books and maps about Nordmarka and other areas in Norway.
