Located at the top of Table Hill, 400m above sea level in the heart of The Catlins, Beresford Heights offers boutique accommodation with breath-taking views. This romantic retreat is an off the grid get-away for couples craving a luxurious peaceful escape from their busy lifestyles, in a private magical hideaway. The space Beresford Heights is a fully self-contained boutique lodge designed to sleep up to four guests in comfort and style. It features a luxurious king-size bed and a high-quality queen sofa bed, perfect for couples or small groups. Inside, you’ll find a cosy seating area ideal for relaxing, reading, or simply soaking up the breathtaking panoramic views. The lodge also includes a well-equipped kitchen with all the essentials for a self-catered stay. Step outside onto the expansive deck, which spans the length of the lodge and includes a private hot tub—perfect for unwinding while enjoying the sweeping vistas of The Catlins. Getting to Beresford Heights is half the fun. Our property is located at 361 Puketiro Road, Owaka. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by your hosts, Stephanie and Warren Burgess. ​ From here, we assist you to transfer your belongings to our 4WD transport - a covered, comfortable All Terrain Vehicle (ATV). Then we embark on an off-road journey across our working farm to the summit of Table Hill where your cosy lodge awaits. This trip can be bumpy, so if guests have any health issues, please advise your hosts. ​Look out for sheep, goats, horses and wildlife as we wind our way to the top of the mountain.​ Once there, relax and unwind. Enjoy cooking in the equipped kitchen or if preferred, you can request through prior arrangement a catered stay. Please note, the nearest small grocery store is 20mins drive away in Owaka or major supermarkets are in Balclutha (North) or Invercargill (South). Price: 65 NZD per person Farm Tours 1.5hr tour of Beresford farm where you will experience a traditional kiwi sheep & beef farm & learn about the history of the area. Complimentary working dog demonstration and 'farmer's smoko'. Please note that the therapist can only do one person at a time. Please feel free to tell your massage therapist of any aches, pains, or priority areas.
