Gîte Terra - surrounded by nature and views.

Gîte Terra is a comfortable cottage situated in a small hamlet in central Finistère, 10 minutes drive from the popular town of Huelgoat. The central location makes it a perfect hub for exploring Finistère – the North, South and West coasts are all 1 hour away. Guests have their own garden and access to five hectares of attached private land with panoramic views of the Monts d’Arrée. The gîte is perfect for couples or friends travelling together, but we also welcome small families. The space Built on the site of fortifications dating back to before the 15th century, Le Magor is a small hamlet on the Southern edge of the Regional Parc d’Armorique in the Monts d’Arrée. Situated at the top of the South side of the Elez Valley we enjoy fantastic views, nature and wildlife. From their garden, guests will have direct access to our land, overlooking the hills and the chapel of Saint Herbot. Gîte Terra is an open plan, two floored self-catering cottage attached to a Breton longere. We've renovated it with natural materials and made it a comfortable place to be all year round. Downstairs you will find the bathroom which has a full length bath. The kitchen has plenty of work surfaces, gas cooker, electric oven and a dishwasher. The living area is set up for dining and relaxing, with a dining table, comfortable chairs and a wood burner. From the living area, French doors open onto a terrace with a large table and access to the guest garden. Your car can be parked directly in the courtyard in front of the gîte. The first floor is essentially an open plan space where tie-back drapes are used to afford some privacy. There's a double bed at one end of the space, and a single bed at the opposite end. The landing area from the stairs is between the two sleeping areas. For a small child we can provide a travel cot and high chair on request and free of charge. We welcome up to 2 dogs in the gîte at an extra fee of €5 per night - per dog. The surrounding garden and land offer plenty of possibilities to run and sniff around. You will be asked to bring your own dog bedding and pets are not allowed upstairs. Note that the dog fee does not show in your booking, but can be paid later or at arrival (allowing you to decide more last minute if you will bring your furry friend(s) - just keep us updated). Other things to note Important information before booking: SUMMER BOOKINGS from END JUNE to MID SEPTEMBER, PLEASE NOTE: We only take bookings of full weeks, with Saturday as the fixed arrival/departure day. Included in the price for your stay are: – Water, gas and electricity at normal use – Bedding: the bed(s) will be made before your arrival. – Bath linen – Tea towels, cloths and sponges and some cleaning materials. – The following items are present to cover the first night of your stay: coffee, tea, milk, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, toilet paper, washing-up liquid and some dishwasher tablets.  Optional extra’s: -Container of wood for the wood burner, including sticks and firelighters:  €16,- -Fuel for the modern 3kW petroleum heater: First full tank included, after that €2.5 per liter or €10 for a full 5 liter tank.
