Rumah Pajangan (A rustic house in a Jogja village)

For those who want to experience what it's like to live in the countryside in Yogyakarta and want to enjoy living in a comfortable, unique, traditional, and natural home, come and stay in our home. The environment in this countryside is also still natural, the house is still surrounded by cooling trees. And no less important is the fresh air, especially in the morning. Even in the village, the distance to the city center (Malioboro) can be reached in 30 minutes with smooth traffic. :) The space This house was designed and built in 2013. The progress to build the house was quite slow as we used natural materials like stones and woods that we prepared from the natural resources around. The people who helped with the construction were mostly our neighbours living in the village. Most of our furniture are handcrafted and we also use traditional linen for the bedding called "batik". So we are trying to combine between nature and local wisdom. The house is located on the side of the road which makes the access easy yet it is quite "hidden" because it was built one level below the ground so you will have more privacy. Guest access Our family is living here occasionally so we provide everything we need for daily basis. You are very welcome to use all the facilities available in the house. You can use the kitchen if you need to cook, you can use the washing machine if you need it. Last but not least, we'll be really appreciate it if you use them wisely and put everything back in its place. Other things to note Don't miss the morning to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the yard to enjoy the fresh air and the sound of the "forest". We provide a simple breakfast (bread and jam) on the first day of your stay. There is also rice, eggs, and other ingredients that can be used in the kitchen. There's also a grill if you want to barbecue. Have fun! Our house is about 45 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from the train station with smooth traffic. The city center (malioboro) is 30 minutes from the house, as is the beach, 30 minutes from the house. Nice, right? There are two small waterfalls near the house (Pulosari waterfall and Banyunibo waterfall), small but nice. There are also three tourist villages around the house, namely Krebet Village (wood batik crafts), Wijirejo Village (written and printed batik tourist village), and Kasongan Village (earthenware crafts). For those who have a culinary hobby, just 5-10 minutes from the house, you can find the most famous ingkung chicken culinary center in Jogja. Don't miss it! Oh yes, even though it's located in a village, GOJEK and GRAB are available, so no worries if you need to order transportation or food with the app. Lastly, this house is only for families and married couples.
