The space The rustic mud brick guesthouse has 10 bedrooms, 5 with ensuites and 5 upstairs with a shared bathroom. The open-plan kitchen and living room, with a huge dining table and wood stove for heating is a perfect spot to relax, share a feast and warm up after a day exploring the Alpine Region. Outside, there is an outdoor kitchen for BBQing as well as a wood-fired pizza oven, outdoor fire heated bath, and campfire. You can explore the acres of pristine bush on the property, or venture further afield for fishing, bushwalking, mountain bike riding, or snow sports higher up in the mountains. The guesthouse is off-grid, with solar hot water, and a combination of solar and hydro power. The rustic timber beams, slate floors and mud-brick walls create a cosy atmosphere - a true country wilderness retreat. Guest access Guests have access to the number of rooms booked, the bathroom, kitchen, living room and outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and bath. You can wander the entire property, there are beautiful walks to explore. Other things to note WE ARE OFF GRID> Power is limited. Do not bring mod cons such as hair dryers, portable fridges, coffee machines, ect. There is 1 large fridge in the kitchen plus others we will turn on for large groups. FOR COFFEE there are percolators and plungers. FIRE WOOD> We supply all for inside fires and a reasonable amount for the fire pit outside. For excessive use outside Guests can supply own wood or buy extra. Fire pit must be attended at all times and large fires are not permitted in dry weather. There's no RECEPTION in this region, you have access to a landline phone in case of emergency, but otherwise this is an off-grid, unplugged experience - perfect for a digital detox. Please note there is no vehicle access to the FALLS CREEK Alpine resort area during the snow season. Road access is closed at these times (June-October).
