This Guest House is located on the upper level of a garage that is separate from our house. It is located in a semi-rural area about 12 miles south of Chattanooga, TN and 5 minutes from Chickamauga National Military Park. The entire property is 40 acres and is mostly pasture used for beef cattle. The view off the deck and out the back windows is spectacular. You see pasture, trees, and Lookout Mountain. The building was completed in 2012 so all furnishings are modern. The kitchen is furnished with a Keurig coffee maker. Coffee, tea, and condiments are provided. Guests are welcome to use the table and chairs in the backyard or the wicker chairs in what we call the "Sunset Area" We live on the property in the main house so we should be available for questions etc. We often sit in the backyard to watch the sunset. Our guests are welcome to join us We are 5 minutes from Chickamauga National Military Park where you can tour the battlefield or enjoy the hiking, biking, and horse trails. Also available locally is access to Chickamauga Creek for canoeing or kayaking. Downtown Chickamauga has several quaint shops. We are 25 minutes from downtown Chattanooga where there are many restaurants and activities. This is a typical rural area where you will need a car, or possibly a bicycle to get around.
