It has a Walk Score of 98 out of 100--Walker’s Paradise. the Ave, UW Tower, the Graduate Hotel just across the street. Very clean . 5-8 min drive to Children Hospital, downtown Seattle,Portage Bay, Lake Union and Eastlake. Easy bus to Amazon or Microsoft. The space Large clean furnished studio on the 2nd floor. It has a large private large kitchen and bathroom and a walk in closet in addition to the living area. *Fully equipped kitchen and dining room and full bath with towels and mat. *Furniture include two twin beds, love seat sofa, desk, desk chair, dresser with mirror, book shelves * It is U District in a prosperous city so you may see homeless on main streets, however, they are not aggressive, we have new locked parking lot gate CCTV surveillance in the public area to enhance the security. Many girls like the safety of this building. *Quiet, conveniently located in the heart of U District except once a week garbage collection in the back parking lot. *Free business level wifi! *New Maytag washers and dryers in the building * Controlled secure access. * Easy access to I-5. 10 min to get to down town normally; 20+min in rush hour. Interesting! many tenants have asked me if the building is mostly empty for it is so quiet. On the contrary, it is 95% fully occupied. Due to the good insulation and solid structure, the sound proof is very good. This lovely brick building, originally a classic hotel and a landmark, is in a great location at the heart of the U District but is very quiet due to good management, located between NE 45th and 46th St. on Brooklyn Ave. There are bike and walking paths (You can also rent one of my bikes for $5.00/day or $25/wk and take the Burke Gilman trail to Lake Washington), bus lines, grocery stores (Trader Joe, Safeway), movie theater and restaurants within close distances. Farmer market* is 2 blocks away on the same street. Seattle, the Emerald City, boast some of the nations best mass transportation. Many bus lines just around the corner which only take you 10 seconds to. You can go anywhere in town. Most tenants are quiet graduate student or visiting scholars. Our 500 square feet large studio with private kitchen and bathroom is reasonably priced. Short term Corporation Housing tenants are welcome. The University District Farmers Market is on the Brooklyn Ave NE & NE 50th St, it is Seattle's oldest and largest farmers/food-only neighborhood market. Founded in 1993, this Saturday market is nationally recognized as one of the best farmers markets in the U.S. Over sixty Washington State farmers and artisan food producers offer an excellent selection of seasonal produce, cheeses, eggs, meats, poultry, seafood, baked goods, preserves, market bites (ready-to-eat foods) and more throughout the year. Guest access Laundry room with 6 new Maytag washers and dryers are in the lower floor level. Due to its prime location in the center of U District, Parking is NOT free. It is $15 per day or $180 per month in winter and $200 in summer, fall and spring. Other things to note This unit is priced cheaper than others is because the windows' direction. They face the back parking lot with a big locked gate and you can see back alley through the metal gate too. The garbage truck in the back alley in the morning a couple times a week. However, the windows do not face back alley directly but face our back parking lot which has a secure locked gate. It is U District so it is inevitable all kinds of people pass by the back alley. It is on the 2nd floor with no elevator. The water heater has a fixed capacity of hot water, please bear with us that long shower is not recommended and please wait 30 min before the next person taking showers to let the water to be heated. Please refer to the house manual located in your itinerary for the check in and out procedures as well as additional important information. Please honestly report the exact # of guest, the base rent is based on 1 guest. $15 per person per night with advance notice or $25 per person per night without advance notice. The owner will pay for the water, sewer, electricity and solid waste. The tenant use electricity judiciously. For long term guests, If the electricity usage is over $60/mo (over 28 days) for one guest or over $80 for two guests, the guests will pay the difference. This is the way that we do not casually waste energy. For longer stays, a higher cleaning fee applies. Based on our past experience, we’ve found that cleaning after longer stays takes significantly more time. The cleaning fee for long term stay is the basic cleaning fee multiply the # of months. This additional fee will not be included in the Airbnb charge because their system cannot adjust the cleaning fee based on the length of stay. Since this is disclosed in advance, you would need to pay upon arrival. Long term guests (over 28 days) due to its discounted rate than weekly or daily rental, need to purchase household consumable goods after the initial supplies are consumed.
