Great restaurants and cafe's, coastal walks / cycle paths to Whitstable & Reculver Towers and beyond as far as you wish to wonder. Stroll on the pier with its arts and crafts stalls at weekends, old fashion amusement arcades, a fab old time bingo hall, original bandstand with lots of events in summer. The perfect spot for a romantic break. Historic Canterbury (7 miles) and the charming town of Whitstable (4 miles) is a short drive or bus journey away. There is a cycle path on the seafront that will take you to Whitstable one direction and Margate, Broadstairs and beyond the other.
