Sego Lily Lodge - ensuite on our ranch
Description
You'll love the peace and quiet at our small lodge, located in an old growth cottonwood forest on a small ranch just a few miles from the center of Moab. Our guest suites are private bedrooms w/private bathrooms w/private entrances for independent guests. We offer scenic views, native plant gardens & dark skies, comfortable bed, private redwood deck and patio. NO kitchen: fridge, coffee maker and tea kettle only. 15 minutes from Arches National Park and 50 minutes from Canyonlands NP. The space Though this is listed as a private room, it is a small en suite & has its own entrance and deck & you won't be entering our home to get to and from your space. It is a clean & light-filled, very quiet and private guest room with private bath - separate entrance from secluded east facing deck - with views. We have hot water baseboard heat and individual refrigerated A/C's - so NO air sharing/blowing with others from room to room. The queen bed (made up with high thread count cotton sheets) is very comfortable, fast wifi, smart HD TV, small fridge, electric kettle and coffee maker. The guest suite has a refrigerated a/c that is more than adequate for the square footage. Great hosts attend to your needs (or leave you alone, if that is what you desire). Very close to the beautiful 18 hole Moab golf course and a large park w/disc golfing and numerous riding/hiking/jeeping trails nearby. Beautiful views of the rim and the mountains. Located 3+ miles from the center of Moab, along a year around creek with more shade trees than you can count and horses grazing in the pasture nearby. An oasis in the desert! No smoking in or near the house and no pets. As said above, there is a dorm fridge, a coffee pot, an electric kettle and a few cups, bowls, glasses and utensils in the room for guests' use - for say, a continental breakfast. However, this is not a kitchenette. If you are looking for a place in which you can make meals, this is not it - we don't provide a microwave nor a toaster oven. Guest access A small private bedroom and a private bathroom with its own outside entrance, a small private deck with seating, a quartzite private patio with seating & a private hot/cold water outdoor shower (has to be disconnected in freezing times of the year), and an off-street parking space - all situated in an old growth cottonwood forest with an abundance of native plant beds. Small fridge, coffee pot, tea kettle, bowls and utensils - not a kitchen. Level II EV charger available for a fee. We've recently installed 20 solar panels, so our guests should be happy to know that their daytime power is being generated by sunshine - we go on the grid at night. During your stay We interact with the guests as much as they need; since Covid we rarely meet guests, but are happy to do so - just make a request. Other things to note Guests seem to always enjoy staying here. The somewhat rustic ranch setting with the polished and artistic rooms are welcoming to solo adult travelers and adult couples. Sorry, no pets. The lodge rooms are all attached to one end of our home and one member of the family is allergic to dogs; so we are also unable to host service dogs. The guest suite has facilities for our guests to make a continental breakfast; we do not supply breakfast - only coffee, tea, milk and sugar. We recently installed 20 solar panels, so our guests should be happy to know that their daytime power is being generated by sunshine - se go on the grid at night.
