Lugar do Pégo has vineyards and wineries "around the corner" and borders the ecopista - a 49 km bike path without any motorized traffic. Mountain bikes are available for rent upon request in advance. The river Dinha is a little 300 meters away, clearly audible with its waterfalls. Further along the Dinha and the river Dão, there are river beaches where swimming is wonderful. Overlooking the mountains, surrounded by trees and tranquility and 21 kilometers from Viseu and 69 km from the historic Coimbra, the accommodation offers all the possibilities to be active but also to relax. The Caramulo Mountains are 20 minutes away by car and are suitable for hiking, paragliding, abseiling and have a renowned oldtimer museum. The Serra de Estrela is an hour's drive away, as is the sea with several fantastic beaches. Furthermore, there is a thermal bath with various beauty arrangements within 15 minutes by car and also a golf course with 27 holes within 15 minutes. Also gastronomically interesting is Lugar do Pégo: a few kilometers away is a famous authentic Portuguese restaurant with Bib Gourmand (Très Pipos), a little 15 kilometers away is the Quinta de Cabriz, also famous for its wines, and a little 20 kilometers away is the beautiful Quinta (Mesa) de Lemos.
