The space Located in the mountains of North Bali, this villa is a serene retreat about three hours' drive from Denpasar Airport, offering complete privacy and all the essentials for a superb, worry-free vacation. It features four large bedrooms, each boasting an open-air bathroom. Every room opens to an expansive veranda, presenting magnificent views of the mountains, tropical forests, dormant volcanoes, and the Bali Sea. The veranda's centerpiece is a large wooden dining table seating eight. Additionally, the veranda offers various lounge areas with cozy chairs and sofas where you can admire the scenery, sip a beverage, or savor local dishes prepared by the in-house cook. In the garden's lower section lies a large swimming pool and a sun-drenched terrace furnished with deck chairs. Connected to the main pool is a smaller, shallower pool with a seating ledge, perfect for sipping a drink as the sun sets. This pool is also well-suited for use as a children's pool. The garden provides a variety of shaded areas thanks to the mango trees, as well as plenty of sunny spots ideal for sunbathing. It boasts multiple private seating areas, including a delightful traditional Balinese gazebo with detailed wood carvings. There is also a special terrace designed for barbecues, equipped with a full Weber BBQ set at no extra charge. Guests often enjoy the communal ambiance of the large fire pit, where they can gather for an evening bonfire. On the frequent clear nights, the volcanoes on the island of Java, about 65 miles away, are visible. Located on a mountain ridge about 200 meters above sea level, the villa enjoys a climate that is much more pleasant than the coastal areas, especially during the evenings and nights. The design and orientation of the villa take advantage of the wind, allowing a refreshing breeze to flow through and maintain a comfortable temperature. The villa features a fully equipped kitchen, providing the choice to either cook for yourself or to have meals prepared by an on-demand skilled freelance chef who excels in delicious local dishes. A baby bed and a highchair for small children are available. A special and unique asset of this villa is that the water from all the taps is safe to drink. The villa’s water originates from an underground mountain spring. It is regularly tested by Balinese authorities and has always been proven safe. It is totally free of pollution and tastes great. The flatscreen TV-set can currently only be used to watch videos from a usb-stick, not for watching TV network channels. Guest access The whole villa will be exclusively yours, meaning that you do not share it with any other guests. You will get all the privacy you need to fully relax and enjoy your stay. The villa's staff are both hospitable and well-informed. They are ready to help with any inquiries or needs you might have. They can organize a variety of activities, including sightseeing tours, jungle trekking, dolphin watching, snorkeling, as well as wellness services like relaxing and healing massages, yoga classes, and hand reading sessions. Living in the adjacent village and having spent their lives in the region, they offer expert guidance and assistance. The villa staff is typically available throughout the day, including a concierge, a gardener, and a cleaning lady. Four security guards rotate shifts to patrol the gated resort, despite the absence of prior security incidents. Upon request, guests can avail themselves of a freelance cook, skilled in Balinese cuisine, and a seasoned driver familiar with Bali's prime locations. Staff costs are included in the rental rate. The cook and driver are not. You can ask the staff to fetch groceries for you in a shop or supermarket nearby. Please be clear in your instructions as he or she may not be familiar with the items you need. A small fee will be charged to cover fuel costs of his or her motorcycle. The groceries are for your own account. Please give the staff money for groceries in advance if you want them to do the shopping. Afterwards they will provide you with receipts. If you would like our freelance cook to prepare your meal, please pay for the groceries in advance. Alternatively, you may cook for yourself or choose to order from our menu. Your room and bathroom as well as the rest of the house will be cleaned daily unless you indicate otherwise. The staff will also make your beds if you wish. This place also boasts larger retail stores and supermarkets with a Western flair. Additionally, for a reasonable fee, our freelance drivers are available to drive you to any destination of your choosing. Upon your arrival, the villa manager will greet you and offer detailed information about the premises. Your stay can be enriched with a range of delightful activities, all available for arrangement from the comfort of the villa. These include diving, snorkeling, jungle treks, waterfall tours, dolphin sightings, mountain climbing and hot spring visits, among others. Moreover, you can indulge in services like massages, spa treatments, yoga and meditation sessions, palm reading, and healing practices. Brochures detailing these services are available within the house. We try to be as environmentally friendly as we can and keep our footprint as small as possible. All the trees of the old mango plantation in which the villa was built have been preserved and are maintained. Not a single tree was cut. We recycle and reuse as much as possible and make compost of our garden waste and organic kitchen waste. The villa, its surrounding structures and the furniture are made with eco-friendly materials (such as local sustainable wood from coconut trees, certified plantation wood and recycled teak).
