Old forge in the heart of the Pilat Natural Park

On the heights of Roisey, between Pélussin and Maclas, at the end of a cul-de-sac, our vacation rental has found refuge in an old 18th century farmhouse, classified by the Heritage Foundation. It is a remarkable natural site located just below the Crêt de l'Œillon and the "Trois dents"; it faces the valleys of the Rhône, the Drôme and the Alps. Through the many surrounding paths, you can discover a strong and still preserved nature. It's completely peaceful. The space It is a self-contained cottage of about 90 m2. It is spread over 3 levels and offers simple but authentic comfort (no TV, sometimes unstable wifi). On the ground floor, a large living room-workshop of more than 30 m2 with wrought iron bay windows (this living room can be reserved for work, rehearsals etc.), a good wood stove to heat it, a fitted kitchen installed in the old vaulted forge and wedged against the rock and a toilet; on the first floor, a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet as well as a bedroom/living room (sofa bed 2 places) with fireplace and with access to the terrace of 30 m2; and on the second floor an attic bedroom that can accommodate up to 3 single beds. The walls are made of exposed stone or insulated with earth-straw-lime. On sunny days, several "shared" outdoor spaces are accessible: the main courtyard of the place as well as the adjoining wooded park. Parking for 3 cars. Mobile phone connections can be capricious depending on the operators. Guest access This is a fully self-contained house, with a 30 m2 terrace and parking. Shared spaces: large entrance courtyard where it is possible to sit down to eat or have a good time (barbecue + games) and wooded park (deckchairs and hammocks on sunny days). Other things to note Don't hesitate to view the guide below for the various activities in the surroundings. Lost in nature, but only 8 minutes from Pélussin: Maison du Parc, markets, local producers, art and essay cinema, media library, outdoor swimming pool (in good weather)... Many departures of hiking and mountain biking trails around the gîte without needing to take the car to get there. In the nearby surroundings you will find equestrian centers, a "tree climbing" place, off-road scooters as well as a number of heritage sites... The cottage is a place where the architecture is unique for the area; nature is "active" with a variety of fauna and flora.
