There are chairs, lounge chairs a picnic table and umbrellas inside the pool/hot tub area. My husband and I live on site and are easily available for your needs. We value your privacy, as ours, so you probably will only be seeing us in passing. We generally do not go out to pool or hot tub if we see our guests using the area, as we want you to have some private time there. The pool is our family pool. There are times when our children and grandchildren are there, this is why we consider our pool and hot tub as a "perk" for our guests, and those amenities were not factored into our pricing. We occasionally have our children's pets to "sit" for when they are away. However, we do NOT allow pets in the suite. Mainly to prevent allergens, and "accidents" from pets. Even housebroken pets will have accidents in a new environment. If a pet is discovered there, there will be a $300 fee attached to your bill. Our quiet, safe residential neighborhood is located across the street from the beach, with public access at the end of our road for Surfing, Fishing, Paddleboarding and Kite Boarding. Great pond at the other end of the street where you can feed the mass of turtles, or catch and release fish there. We are an easy 4-5 min walk to the beach, or 3 min bike ride into town with lots of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. We are within view of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and Cape Hatteras National Park. Enjoy close access to Nature/Hiking Trails, local Playground and Skatepark, Basketball and Tennis Court, local Grocery store, Gas/Convenience stores, Restaurants, Unique Gift shops, Ice Cream shops and Putt Putt Golf. Everything is within a 5 mins bike ride. Horseback riding also available on the island. This isn't a motel/hotel, so there is not maid service. However, the suite will be thoroughly cleaned after each guest leaves. Before each guest leaves, they are expected to strip the sheets and pillowcases off of the bed (and sofa bed, if used). Put the linens as well as used towels into the hamper in the bedroom for housekeeper to pick up. The bedspread and shams are washed after each guest, however, do not put in hamper. Also, you are expected to sweep the apartment, wash and put away your dishes and take the trash to the outside trash bins at the road. These few tasks take only a few minutes and ensure the next guests get into the house in a timely manner.
