The Katschberg forms the border between the federal states of Salzburg and Carinthia. In summer and winter, the Katschberg is a popular holiday destination for those seeking relaxation, families, nature lovers, hikers and winter sports enthusiasts. The cozy Almchalet on the Katschberg offers ten guests enough space for a relaxing cottage vacation. The living space of 140 square meters is distributed on two floors. The heart of the chalet is the living room with a modern kitchenette. At the large rustic dining table, all guests will find comfortable space to enjoy hearty cottage evenings. A large corner bench and comfortable chairs offer plenty of seating. The living room is heated by a brick wood-burning stove with a viewing window. A flat-screen TV (satellite) and a radio with CD player are available as entertainment options in the Almchalet am Katschberg. There is another TV on the second floor. The cozy couch is a retreat for an exciting book or movie. The modern kitchenette is equipped with an oven, electric stove, coffee machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and toaster. The bedrooms are divided into a double bedroom on the ground floor as well as two double bedrooms and a quadruple bedroom (1 double bed and 1 bunk bed) on the upper floor. Each of the bedrooms has windows with a direct view of the nature of the Katschberg. A crib can be made available upon request. Storage space for luggage and clothing is sufficiently available. On the ground floor there is a large daylight bathroom with two showers, a sink and the large in-house sauna. Here the hut guests can relax after a busy day of hiking or skiing. Upstairs there is a second daylight bathroom with shower and sink. There is a separate toilet on each floor. The cabin is heated by environmentally friendly bio-district heating and the wood-burning stove. Fire detectors are installed for safety. In the anteroom of the cabin there is a wardrobe with enough storage space for the ski equipment. The Almchalet am Katschberg has direct access to the covered terrace overlooking the ski slope in the living room. The terrace is equipped with rustic garden furniture and a whirlpool. Fresh rolls are delivered to the chalet every day on request. The wood for the wood-burning stove is available free of charge and is stored directly at the hut.
