The Lairds Bothy at Knockbrex Castle
Description
Visitors to this wonderful area can stay within the grounds of Knockbrex Castle. The area is a walkers and biking paradise and just a short walk (5-10 minutes) to various beaches. Travel a little to sample the delights in the local area like the chocolate of the Cocoabean Company. Enjoy a walk to the local pubs for lunch at Gatehouse of Fleet or Borgue. For a special evening meal The Ship Inn at Gatehouse of Fleet has lovely locally produced food. car essential, no public transport. The space This is a three bedroom (two double, 1 twin) self catering cottage with lounge, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and a patio area just outside. We are happy for dogs to come on holiday with you but a maximum of two. Dogs must be kept under control at all times , not be left unattended & any mess they make must be cleaned up. There are 4 steps up to the cottage but the cottage is all on one level. Guest access You hire the whole cottage for yourselves (not shared). Other things to note While in the grounds of the Castle you are very welcome to explore, but we ask that you do not enter any of the garden buildings. We are not geared up for toddlers or babies so we don't recommend them staying here. (We don't provided highchair/cot and there isn't any child proofing in The Bothy) The parking area is shared with Sea View so please be mindful of parking and don't block other cars in. There is a patio area outside The Bothy which is exclusively for your use. There is also a bigger patio area in the castle garden which is for our use but if we aren't there you are more than welcome to use it. **Although we do provide WiFi the internet is slow** Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about it, we're not happy about it either.
