A relaxing stay awaits you, in a stunning 500 yr old cottage- a home set in the beautiful village of Swimbridge, a few miles from North Devon beaches, and Exmoor. We'll provide breakfast, in your own private dining room/living area, with mini-fridge, toaster, kettle & microwave. If we're in, we can cook you Swimbridge farm eggs! If you have specific dietary needs, just let us know in advance! We are 200 metres from a lovely country pub. The space We can offer you a slice of a rural Devon lifestyle, with your bedroom and living spaces having lovely views across the village and hill beyond. Downstairs splits into two- you'll have your own dining room and pretty office desk space, overlooking a cottage-style courtyard garden and pond. Breakfast: Fresh croissants/pastries, selection of cereals, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurts, butter or vegan spreads, local Devon honey, jams, marmalade, and milk etc. Teas, herbal teas and cafetiere coffees. In your room, you'll find a hairdryer, books, local/walking maps etc. Extra blankets and towels etc. An iron and ironing board. And we can provide anything extra that you might need. The bathroom is shared with us but is right next to your room. Guest access Even though we live in the cottage, the main living spaces downstairs are separated in two. You will have your own front door access, so can come and go at your own leisure. The dining room and office space will be yours for the duration of your stay. The upstairs of the cottage has 2 bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The bathroom is right next to your room. During your stay We love to meet new people, however we also understand that people coming for a break away may be needing peace and quiet so we respect that. We will be around if you need anything. Or a phone call away. We can help give you details of local sports such as clay pigeon shooting, surfing, falconry walks, sea-kayaking, horse-riding and much more. Other things to note There is parking at the house on the lane, which is very quiet. We advise you access the street from the pub- end, as the lane is a little narrow and you will find it easier to park! We have fast WIFI. The bedroom does not have a TV- we tend to find most guests are here to visit friends, or out walking or exploring beaches.
