Our little cottage is right in the heart of Mumbles, 30 yards from the promenade and a stones throw from beautiful Gower. Come and enjoy the village, the beach, the food and the drink. You’re very welcome. The space The whole cottage is there for you to use. Feel free to use the wood burner, the BBQ or the tv. We provide enough wood/kindling to get you going for a fire or two on the first night and guests can buy more from Cash Hardware in the village. The back garden is a lovely little sun trap that is often sheltered from the elements. There’s a bbq, an outdoor table and a cosy court yard, so why would you leave? The master bedroom can be a double or a twin, just let us know before you arrive and there's plenty of wardrobe space. Please note this is a traditional fisherman cottage with a narrow & steep main stairway, steps into the kitchen and uneven steps from the courtyard to the decking. Please note the property may not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties. Other things to note Mumbles is a small seaside village so parking can be a bit difficult, especially during peak season. Unrestricted parking is limited close to the cottage, especially since the council recently put 3hr limits on many of the previously free parking bays. There are a number of pay and display carparks and if you would like free parking during your stay, your best bet is to drive to the residential areas up the hill behind the cottage, which is 5-7min walk back down to the cottage (Higher Lane, Plunch lane and Thistleboon drive would be good roads to try). The cottage is in a small lane, off the Mumbles Road, where there are a number of restaurants and a Fish and Chip shop on the corner of the lane. These eateries and the park opposite are very popular with tourists and locals which brings a lovely buzz to the area during the holidays but can unfortunately sometimes bring mess/rubbish on the main road. We do our best to keep the lane lovely and tidy for our guests. ** Check-in is 4pm & Check-out is 10am
