Kakar Villa is a traditional & secure large country house, set in idyllic rural village in Beani Bazaar in Sylhet. It is easily accessible by car and is just 25 miles from Sylhet city and within driving range of many scenic tourist sites like Madhabkunda waterfall, Lala Khal, Ratargul, Jalflong etc. Perfect for get-togethers or as a holiday home. Set in area surrounded by nature and serenity and offers you a perfect break from the hustle and bustle of urban life and creating lasting memories The space Ideal for family holidays, weekend get-together with friends or colleagues We have we have on-site activities like: Badminton, Football (please do not wear studs as this can damage the lawn), open water swimming, Cooking (observe and learn as villagers cook), reading corner with hammock, Sunset boat ride along the Kushiyara river (just 400 metres from the house - boat can be arranged) and enjoy the beautiful skies. In the evenings sit in front of camp fire (our caretaker will arrange the fire), enjoy local chai with story telling and gaze at the evening night sky under the moonlight and stars (weather dependent). If you enjoy music, acoustic performances can be arranged by local musicians / singers. Wake up to delicious local 'nasta' (breakfast), or arrange pit fire dinner feast. The local villagers prepare authentic village style food using natural wood fire cooking method which has a taste of its own . Guest access We have some bicycles on site for guest use. There is ample car parking space for multiple cars (free) Other things to note Local village cook(s)/ helpers can be arranged to prepare meals or for any other errands (not included in daily rate) . We can share a list of food items / local specialities that can be prepared. The cooks will prepare a shopping list of seasonal ingredients required which you can either purchase from local shops/grocers or you can have them arranged to be delivered. As a guide, you can pay the cooks directly - Tk 1000 to 1500 per day, depending on how many meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and number of guests. Please note food & ingredient costs will be separate. If you require any helpers/maid etc this can also be arranged on a daily rate and paid directly to them. The pond (pukur) can be used for swimming but please note, some parts are deep and we do not have any lifeguard and therefore please avoid swimming alone and during daylight hours only. Musicians can be arranged - please send me details (music style preference i.e. Baul/folk, guitar balads etc, date and time etc) and I will get back to you with an estimate from the musicians Boat can be arranged - please message for costs
