Description
Self-contained annexe attached to 16th-century house. Two spacious double bedrooms with views over the walled garden. Shower room and small kitchen (microwave, no cooker). Parking for 2 guest cars. Peaceful location. The space The single-story annexe (on the far left of the main photo) is attached to our family home and has its own entrance so you can come and go as you please. Dating from the 1950s, it comprises two light and spacious south / west facing double bedrooms, hall, shower room and kitchen, and is surrounded by a large walled garden. (Note that there is no separate sitting or dining room). Apart from the beds, all furniture dates from the early-mid 20th century, so if your style is modern, minimalist, or matching, this may not be the place for you! We provide freshly-laundered bedlinen & towels and each room is equipped with a double bed, sofa, table, wardrobe, television, hairdryer and Wi-Fi. Both double beds have new medium/firm mattresses and we use White Company bedlinen. There is limitless hot water from the combi-boiler and the central heating is on an automatic timer, which you can easily override if you need a warmer or cooler room. The small kitchen has a microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge and is stocked with tea & coffee plus self-service breakfast items. Note that the kitchen does not have a cooker, washing machine or iron. There is parking for 2 guest cars on our driveway, directly outside the annexe. BEDROOM ONE The large picture-window faces due west. Note: Although shown as carpeted in a couple of the photographs, the original parquet floor has since been uncovered and refurbished. BEDROOM TWO This south-facing room is light and spacious and overlooks the front, walled garden. Guest access During the warmer months, you are welcome to sit outside in the garden. There are tables & chairs in several places on the lawns. Other things to note BOOKINGS FOR TWO GUESTS Bookings for 2 people will have the use of only one of the double rooms unless by prior arrangement. So if you need both rooms making up, please let us know when you book. SOLO TRAVELLERS Sorry, but we are unable to accept bookings for 1 person on Friday or Saturday nights. CHILDREN & DOGS We are unable to host for dogs or for children under 13 years of age. PARKING Please let us know before booking if bringing a vehicle larger than a standard car.
