Savary Island Time

Our custom-crafted guest cabin is nestled in the forest with plenty of light and a view through the trees on high bank property to the ocean. Its simple luxuries will have you taking deep breaths and tuning into island time within minutes of arriving. Located on Savary Island Road, used primarily by walkers and cyclists, trails to access North and South side beaches are a short stroll away. We provide bicycles and sit on top kayaks to explore all that sunny, sandy Savary has to offer. The space Savary Island Time is a small cabin perfect for 2 adults. It has a lovely semi- covered front deck and several places on the property to sit in the sun and enjoy nature. Unfortunately the cabin is not suitable for infants and children under twelve. The kitchen facilities include a 2 burner propane stove-top, under counter mid-sized electric fridge and freezer, Weber BBQ [for barbecuing and baking/re-heating] on the deck, double sink, SodaStream, Ninja blender, Bodum, coffee grinder, dishes, a large variety of cooking utensils, cookware and a good selection of spices/herbs and olive oil. A private outdoor shower, accessed through the bathroom provides a unique and refreshing experience. The queen bed is new and very comfortable. Bed linens, duvet and towels are provided. We do our best to live here sustainably and are in the process of creating a permaculture environment. We live here off-grid which means that we use a (SolarSystem/Generator/Well/Septic System) so any high draw appliances, eg. hair dryers and curling irons/flat irons, do not work here. Our off-grid systems are delicate and so we use water and power mindfully. We supply beach towels, a beach umbrella, beach mat and backpack chairs. If you'd like to use our bikes, you must wear helmets as many sections of road have large potholes or deep sand. Please bring your own bicycle helmets [and if you forget, we can supply them]. If you'd like to use the kayaks, we will provide PFD's, which also must be worn as winds and waves can pick up unexpectedly. Guest access The cabin is located towards the back of our high bank water view lot [to provide privacy and views to the ocean and mountains]. We have a small vegetable garden and herb garden and we try to share whatever is growing at the time. Getting around on Savary consists of walking or biking on the island's gravel roads and numerous trails, and kayaking the beautiful turquoise waters around the island. We are located near stairs and trails that lead to both North and South side beaches, albeit the paths down to the beaches are fairly steep. The alternative is a 15-20 minute gentle walk down to Thatek Point, formerly Indian Point, for walk on beach access and spectacular sunsets. Other things to note unfortunately we are unable to accept more than 2 persons, pets or infants and children under twelve. Thank you for your consideration.
