Arthur's Pass Cottage

Cosy basic alpine cottage in Arthur's Pass National Park with backdoor access to the Southern Alps. Ideally located for endless outdoor recreation activities or to just sit by the fire and relax ***NOT SERVICED ***Guests must bring their OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS and all supplies- do not leave in your review that there wasn’t linen provided as it clearly states there is not. Please note there may be signs of mice in summer as it is situated in a NP ,don’t leave food out and keep doors closed. The space IMPORTANT The Bach is not serviced at all, think of it as a mountain hut with some Luxury so guests need to bring all Bed linen and towels as well as all food and consumables (toilet roll etc) there are duvets and pillows provided for 4 adults. Cleaning is required at the end of your stay to leave it ready for the next guests. (vacuum through, wash dishes clean the bathroom including toilet there is cleaning stuff under the sink in bathroom and kitchen ) and remove all rubbish (bins are by the entrance to the car park at the end of the drive) recycling is by the train station. Please do not move the furniture around and leave games and books tidy. Winter stays May to October you will need to follow the start up and shut down instructions for the water system - if this is not followed the pipes will freeze and burst so it is very important, the instructions are in the house for arrival and I will send you a copy with check in details also. Please ask if you don’t understand them. It is in a national park and during summer there will be mice that come in the house , there are traps under the sink but in this location it is impossible to eliminate this , keep your food in the top cupboard , Esky or sealed tubs and no food in bedrooms please. The firewood is in the shed , do not touch anything else in there , the Neighbour has half the shed and will access it on occasion. Guest access Entire house and small garden is yours to enjoy for your stay, however the neighbour shares the garage and has access to that. Other things to note The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, cooker with oven, kettle, toaster, sandwich press and electric fry pan and a full set of crockery and cutlery for 4 people. The bathroom has a large deep bath for a good soak (the shower head that is there only trickles out and can be used to wash hair but nothing else ) the toilet and sink are separate. The porch has space to store ski's and boots as well as jackets. There is no TVbut a well equipped games table and plenty of books. No internet wifi , the cafe has free wifi for customers
