Welcome to our Guest House, a stand-alone & light-filled modern studio in an otherwise historic neighborhood. (HPT is a leafy, vibrant neighborhood of creatives, artists, architects, restauranteurs, professors and even Chef's like us.) Like much of downtown Charleston... my husband and I live in the main house, with a dependency in the back. It's totally separate, totally private and pretty cute. Best for 1 person. We can only rent for 28 days or more, so send a dm if you need specific date. The space Fully equipped kitchen has Wolf convection oven, Integrated Stovetop, Granite Surfaces and everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The bathroom has a pedestal sink and shower. The main seating area is well-appointed with a slipcovered loveseat, velvet club chairs from west elm, and tv with all the main streaming apps for your use at no charge. The lovely garden terrace is a shared common space (but just with us, two workaholic chefs who are rarely outside.) Guest access You have complete use of the garden patio (just off your front door) and a small walled courtyard in the back area. (Well, expect to see our friendly corgi on occasion. His name is Einstein, he's a rescue and 9 years old. He will greet you as an honored guest and present you with whatever toy he can find.) He also can take a hint and just say a quick hello if he sees you. Just like us! Other things to note Our guests typically stay for one month and sometimes for many months. We take great care in making sure the studio has what you immediately need upon check-in. (Basic groceries, coffee, wine, beer, snacks, etc.) We also supply laundry pods, dryer sheets, shampoo, hand soap, etc.) As you settle into your stay please expect to replenish your own cleaning supplies if needed, bathroom tissue, coffee, wine, etc. In a nutshell, we give you a great start.
