Contemporary light and airy home, elevated on stilts, with great views of the bush and a hefty ocean glimpse. Secluded in 5 acres of virgin bush, but also close to all the great beaches, attractions and wineries of the Margaret River area, as well as Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret RIver towns. The space Zamia House was built in 2011. It is an elevated, north facing contemporary home with stunning views across Wyadup valley. It is set almost equidistant between Dunsborough and Margaret River so is a great base for exploring the entire Margaret river wine region. The stunning and pristine Injidup Beach is 2km away and only a four minute drive or 20 minute walk. The house is a 5-10 minute drive to Smiths Beach and a 10-15 minute drive to Yallingup Beach. The house is set on five acres of virgin bush and is central to all the wineries, restaurants and attractions of the Margaret River region. The home is very comfortable, light and bright, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one an ensuite), and open plan living/dining/kitchen. There is a large covered deck for sipping wine and enjoying the panoramic views which has a 5 seat outdoor lounge and an 8 seat table, and a gas BBQ . Puzzles, games and DVDs are available to enjoy (and a trampoline, patch of lawn and tyre swing for the kids). A fire pit is available between 1 May - 1 October with 8 seats. I is illegal to use the fire pit outside those dates. The house sleeps a total of 6 in three bedrooms: Bedroom 1 - queen bed master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite Bedroom 2 - queen bed Bedroom 3 - 2 king singles which can convert to a super king bed (please let us know the configuration you require when booking as the default arrangement is two king singles). There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the open plan living/kitchen/dining for summer cooling and winter heating, ceiling fans in the two queen bedrooms and a portable fan in the bunk room. For winter warmth, the two queen beds have electric blankets and there are hot water bottles for the bunk beds. Both bathrooms have heat lamps. the bedrooms also have oil heaters for winter. The kitchen is well stocked and should have everything you need to cook with. There is a Sunbeam Cafe Crema coffee machine which uses ground coffee, and a coffee grinder. Why Zamia House? The house is named after the prehistoric Zamia palms which abound in the area. WHAT WE SUPPLY, WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING For AirBNB customers we supply all linen except beach towels. Note - you can reduce the cost of your stay if you are prepared to bring your own linen. Please message me to discuss. Food - you will need to bring your own food. We advise you to stock up at Bunbury Farmers Market or in Dunsborough or Vasse on your way down from Perth. Porta cot and high chair available. You must supply your own linen for the portacot. OTHER STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW We charge an AUD $550 security deposit which is held by AirBNB to ensure the house is well cared for. Cancellations (for any reason): AirBNB's STRICT policy applies. However, we will always refund your entire fee if we manage to re-let the property (but cannot refund the AirBNB service fee). The house and surrounds are strictly non-smoking. Sorry but we do not accept bookings for leavers or groups under 25 years or for house parties. Max 8 people can stay. Kids with adults over 25 years are welcome. Sorry but we no longer accept pets, after a few too many mishaps. Except by prior arrangement, check out is strictly 10.30am and check in is strictly 2.30pm.
