Tickets for free public transport in Bern included. There is no elevator. The space * super-central location in the heart of the beautiful Bernese Old Town (“She is the most beautiful we have ever seen", Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote about Bern in a letter to his girlfriend) * the small studio attic apartment (about 500 square feet plus terrace) is on the 5th floor of a beautiful historic building and has wood parquet flooring with underfloor heating. Besides the living/kitchen area facing south, it has a sleeping area with a queen bed facing north. Moreover, there is a 'secret tower room' facing towards the inner courtyard, which is difficult to access, * Sleeping: the sleeping area has a 160cm queen futon bed. The living-kitchen area has a two-seater sofa with 2 single 80x200cm bed elements, thus combining to a another full 160cm queen bed. Moreover, there is a single mattress on the floor of the 'tower room'. * Kitchen with stove/oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher. In the living room/kitchen area you'll find a bar table, dining table, the sleep sofa, and a 60 inch ultra HD TV. * Finally, the apartment has a spacious sunny roof terrace (about 220 square feet) with a view over the roofs of the surrounding area as well as at the Alps in the distance. The roof terrace is equipped with rattan lounges, dining table/chairs and a BBQ grill. * WiFi, coffee and tea are included in the price of the apartment Guest access * Private bathroom (sink, toilet, shower) and private kitchen Other things to note * As a result of the heritage-protected stairwell from the 16th century, there is no elevator in the building. * Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment, but you are allowed to smoke on the roof terrace. * This apartment is located in an absolutely central location right in the heart of the Old Town. Therefore, especially in warm summer nights, when you'd like to keep the windows open overnight, it may get noisy from the surrounding bars and restaurants, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. * The "tower room" with one single bed is accessible only by crawling through a small tunnel. This could not be changed due to heritage protection regulations. * While the apartment does sleep 5 persons, it might feel too small at this maximum occupancy, not least due to the slopping roofs, where you may bump your heads, and especially in winter when you might not be out on the roof terrace too much. The optimal occupancy should be around 2-3 persons.
