Description

Lapland Lodge B & B (part of April Cottage B & B, separate listing) offers "luxury clamping" accommodation for max 3 ( with WC and Belfast sink with hot and cold water, NO shower). Stunning, cozy and romantic lodge with private decking (table & chairs) overlooking 300 year old Monterrey pine tree . Breakfast is included and is being served in the cottage or the garden. WEBER BBQ grill just outside lodge, available to our guests at small cost. The space Unique and cozy Lapland Lodge where guests sleep in sleeping bags with silk liners on top of soft cushions and sheep skins (all provided). Lodge is fitted with electricity, 2 heaters, a WC and a Belfast sink with hot & cold water BUT no shower. Candles, lanterns and fairy lights give the lodge that very romantic touch. As Lodge has been transformed into B & B accommodation, health / safety, fire and insurance policies do not allow open fire when sleeping in the lodge. State of the art Weber BBQ outside the lodge in the garden for use at small cost. Tea / coffee facilities in the lodge. Towels, face cloths & soap are provided. Your hosts Joanna and Peter Burri – Weaver have many years of experience in the Hospitality industry and have managed Boutique Hotels in exotic places like the Seychelles and Zanzibar. As soon as you enter their house you will experience the unique Anglo – Swiss hospitality. You will also find many memorabilia from the very interesting past of the Weaver family. The grand-parents were stationed in Sikkim before WWI and the grand-mother was one of the first European women to walk into Tibet having to cross the many mountains and Glaciers. Her son Peter Weaver was a Major in the 1st SAS and a War hero in WW2. Joanna was the first British women representing Great Britain in the Luge event at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Both Joanna and Peter love Nature and, will assist you in planning your days on the Isle of Purbeck. Guest access Large garden with several sitting areas and some long chairs. WIFI in cottage / garden only. Breakfasts are served in the cottage or the garden. BBQ area in the garden, available to our guests at a small cost. Other things to note As the lodge has been converted into B & B accommodation, guests may not have an open fire inside the lodge (health / safety, fire and insurance policies). A large BBQ is just outside the lodge and may be used at a small cost (includes charcoal, crockery, cutlery, glasses, spices, sauces and the cleaning).
